Here. We. Go. Obviously this is by far the biggest game so far this season and it is also our true test to measure where we are as a team. Walter Mazzarri will field the familiar 3-5-1-1 formation with Samir Handanovic between the sticks and behind the trio of Juan Jesus, Andrea Ranocchia and Hugo Campagnaro. Mateo Kovacic is expected to be on the bench as Saphir Taider will have his chance to start alongside Cambiasso and Guarin. Nagatomo and Jonathan are your usual suspects on the wings. Up front, again, we have the familiar faces of Ricardo Alvarez and Rodrigo Palacio.

If Kova can’t play I’d put Alvarez on Taider’s spot, and play Icardi as CF in front of Palacio.

      u get my +1, agree!

  • tifointer

If Kovacic is ready, Mazzarri can risk with him instead Guarin.

  • andrea stramaccioni

great team… i see what Mazzarri is doing keeping the likes of milito icardi belfodil and kovacic on the bench. if inter are losing by 1 goal we can go all out with substitutions and bend the old lady over

  • Zoki

Decently played first half, very even. Taider looks good for his age, a true prospect.

  • peacemania

We really need Kovacic and Icardi if we want to win badly for 2nd half

  • InterGuy

Cambiasso is giving to bad passes and in very bad areas!!!Sub him with Icardi and play 3-4-1-2!!!NO MORE RISKING!!!

  • deoz

cambiasso if u really love to our club!!!! just sit on the bench or fucking retire!!!! shit!!!!

  • Branavan

Inter have too many bull dogs in midfield…Guarin, Taider, Cambiasso and even Alvarez is being bullish in his runs…We need more swans…yes swans; elegant players who are calm on the ball like Kovacic or maybe even a youngster. We are defensively pretty lucky…we may have looked to have defended well, but we really didnt, we got lucky a lot with a bounce or two…we need to get positioning correct and need to make some more calm passes. I say bring on Kova for Guarin and Icardi for Naga and have a 3 man attack…its a risk but…it would put a lot more pressure on Juve…

    • harendro

Agree on guarin, he played worst than chuchu in the 1st half, but i know guarin have powerful run and canon shot that might come in handy, i’m confused, lucky i’m not mazzari. I hope he made a good choice.

  • ahmad akbar

we need kovacic at 2nd half

  • fans karbitan

Put guarin on bench and play kova. Guarin doesnt have mentallity and play like a shit

    • fans karbitan

Guarin play well in second half. Jonathan still didnt have enough brave to accelarate and play through, he has poor mentality again big club as always. And cambiasso, did he play football? Can he?

Pliz mazzari, put kova alongside with taider

      • bambamzamorano

i agree guarin is so much better than jonathan, jonathan need to show his mentality against a big team

no it was jhony he need to tackle asamoah ball out but he didnt. huge mistake.

      • InterGuy

Cambiasso’s was realy slow and he was RIGHT BEHIND VIDAL ALL HE NEEDED TO DO WAS TO RUN TO CUT THE PASS OR EVEN TACKLE TO TAKE THE BALL OUT OF THE FIELD!

  • JustInter

Damn why oh why. Lack of concentration when winning damn.

    Damn! Almost..

  • INTer

even draw its a good matches. i can feel we can finish in top 3 this season. keep it up forza inter.

    • Branavan

Hey dont talk to Cuchu like that, let alone any player of Inter. Have respect for your team and its players even when they play poorly. And Cuchu wasnt horrible…medicore and the goal was poor defending on Jonny’s part

u right but he must sit on the bench..n if he want some respect !!!1

        • jemz

Man, if I was chuchu, with that huge salary, I would be happy to get paid for sitting on the bench and doing nothing.. I think he know he can’t run anymore, maybe he also know that job is too hard for him.. But, he accepted it, only to show his responsibilty and his love for this team. So, please respect him..

  • harendro

We need a quality right back, johny might play superb again against sasuolo, but he just not up to it.
Ricky is the new hero, taider is good, chuchu run his socks off, but guarin lost his grit!
Overall i’m satisfied…hope we’ll gain maximum points against lesser team, and concentrate on bringing quality right back, and maybe a strong dm that better than chuchu.

THERE IS NO WAY THAT WAS CAMBIASSO’S FAULT! NO WAY! YES HE WAS LAZY THE ENTIRE MATCH BUT IT WAS JONATHAN’S FAULT NOONE ELSE’S! That’s what happens when you give someone too much credit for 2 half-decent performances. GRAZIE JONATHAN AND NERAZZURRO FANS!!

    • deoz

IS CAMBIASSO FAULT!!! coz he late back to cover vidal!! not alvares !!! he should be in the penalty box when we in defend strategy..

      • interd1sia

it wasn’t his entire fault. jonathan takes the biggest part if you wanna point at someone. true that cambiasso was late to get back in his post but asamoah should had a chance to pass the ball if jonathan had his job better

      • JustInter

It is all defender player fault. No one try to help close Vidal (look at the range between Vidal and those line of defender, they just stand there for nothing like being hypnotized). That’s why Handa can’t guess where the ball would go. Cambi play better tonight, but Inter should find someone to replace him, Cambi can’t replace Zanetti calmness and getting confused when Inter was winning.

  • Branavan

What we learned from this game…in MY opinion lol:

    1) Icardi my o my, what timing to make your mark :D what a run, what a finish…bravo! He still needs to improve but woot :D
    2) We have to stop depending on Palacio to be a one man show and do magic…he needs support
    3) We are getting better in terms of organization but…still a lot of room to improve
    4) We lack concentration when we are getting the upper hand…after a the chance with Nagatomo or Cambiasso, Juve run down and have a chance, or with the goal, good example
    5) Taider looks…to have potential; I saw a lot of rawness in him. His pacing is good and so is his control and awareness, but he needs to make more strategic tackles instead of lunging in and he needs to watch his position
    6) Cambiasso is so not the Cambiasso even of last season…i think Taider should replace him and we start Kovacic as soon as he gets fit
    7) Campagnaro keeps looking to be a steal!
    8) Rano makes me laugh and happy; I think he is TOO comfortable now…he has a string of good games…but when he starts to dribble in the box…i crap myself lol but he manages to do it…pretty well gotta say XD
    9) You can tell Kova is injured…why o why injury
    10) Overall great game…that moment when Icardi stood in front of the fans…HEADLINE SHOT booya! FORZA INTER!!!

    • Zselic

      11) Guarín is still careless, there is no need for a player with such mentality/attitude in the starting line-up. for every good move he makes at least 3 mistakes

      • InterGuy

In my opinion Guarin should have tried some shot from out the box :/ Instead of passing…He has a very strong shot and now with my Mazzari Guaro have stopped shooting birds and he’ll probably go for a shot on goal…

        • july

GOD, but if he wants, he can more a team person. ricky wants to come back and marks the opponent when he loses the ball..but guarin just be a lazy person…IMO

          • InterGuy

I agree with you but guaro had an open chance for a clear shot from out the box and prefered to lose the ball instead of trying to shoot from out the box :/ in my opinion he should have tried 1 or 2 shots from out the box,for guarin that would had been easy!

  • Zoki

It was a nice game and I think we can qualify for CL with such performances. Game was even but sadly our team dropped focus after scoring a goal(as many say, the team is most vulnerable after scoring a goal).

  • bambamzamorano

I didn’t watch the first half but the 2nd half, taider plays well, alvarez also, I think overall inter played well, but I can see that johnny is a bit tired that’s why he lose against asamoah, I think he needs to work even harder if he want to stay on the 1st team, but overall it was really good play by inter. I think this result will actually keep the team on the ground and their head cool, if inter win, i think all the media hype will actually make the team lose focus. By this result Mazzari will also look at what happen during the goal concede and will work to tighten our defense and stamina again so that the team can work tirelessly for full 90 mins. The draw for me is a good step for this new team

  • NSP

I think a 1-1 draw is fair result, its what we needed for the teams confidence, obviously a win against serie a title holders is quite difficult and a lot to ask….but i think we played this game very tactically with strong defense(apart from vidals goal). Alvarez has transformed massively and campagnaro is a steal. My issue was GUARIN. This guy just doesnt learn from his mistakes, he constantly loses the ball or tries shots from 40 yards out. Mazzarri has to see this error and correct it. Taider played good pushing with the ball and going back to help. AND ICARDI is now officially the JUVE KILLER…well done Mauro!!! overall these types of performances consitently will get us Champions league….Forza INTER

    • JustInter

I think our attack is at it best when play with 3 stikers. Palacio Icardi/ Milito and Ricky. I think it will be lively upfront.

      • NSP

        i think your right man!!!

  • ahmad akbar

that was tough game, i think the result is pretty objective. this draw shows that we can compete with another more favourite teams than us. we are little bit unlucky there, jonathan really should’ve done better to prevent rube’s goal. when kovacic is completely fine from his injury i think we could have better performance. good game after all..FORZA INTER!!!!!!!!

  • jemz

I felt insecure when taider comes off, that kid really have a guts to break vidal.. I’m happy to see him in the midfield.. And thanks Ricky and Icardi for the goal.. Guarin supposed to mark vidal to prevent the goal, but he’s playing fine for 90 minutes.. I hate the result but I love this team

  • Xahi Xixa Armati

Not bad, not bad. I’m sad but it’s because we scored first. I wish it was 0-0 to keep clean sheet but I’m happy for Icardi. Draw against champions is nice result as championship is long.

  • ahmad akbar

i really hope mazzari is willing to reconsider the starting spot of guarin and cambiasso by playing kovacic and taider for their role and shift alvarez as CM. up front icardi will accompany palacio..i just feel that guarin and cambiasso feel too comfortable and over confident. the rotation will make them work harder.

    • NSP

i agree with guarin not being a starter…but we need cambiasso for leadership until jz4 returns!!!

    • NSP

      • ahmad akbar

i see cambiasso is better today than his two previous games but what i see the big hole of cambiasso is that he has been so slow quite many times to cover our defense. it’s clearly a matter of stamina. taider works hard and looks very dynamic and quite solid. so i dont have big concern if taider is used to replace him. i see that cambiasso could read the game but if kovacic is fully healed then he will show us his class and vision as CM.

        • interd1sia

i think we still need chuchu on field. aside being the leader because there is no zanetti, samuel or milito out there, he still can do a decent job. as you said, it’s clearly a matter of stamina. we can either give him a first half to balance the team and do some gung-ho in the second or the other way around, trying to get some leading in the first half and keep the score in the second. either way, he still had something to offer. if only we managed to get isla and fernando this summer we may already be a complete team by now

good point mate. i’m not trying to ditch cambiasso at all but i just feel that using him constantly as DM is not always reliable. i agree with you on that.

          • interd1sia

well we can’t do anything about it. he is the only real dm we had right now. though i also agree that he did a better job than his previous 2 but that better job wasn’t a good enough job. and i don’t think taider would be suitable to replace him. taider is better in offensive job. if only zanetti or mudingayi came back we may had a chance to replace chuchu. or even better, if only we get fernando or any better dm we wouldn’t even had this problem

  • interd1sia

what a good game. we prove that we can match a champion. now for some note regarding the game
    - alvarez is a really revelation. maybe if only mazzarri had taken the risk to take chuchu out and creating alvarez-kovacic-guarin partnership in the middle we can do better, maybe
    - we need someone to accompany palacio up there. either one of the midfield really do some box-to-box job (no, not cambiasso but the other mid) or taking in one of the striker to play there
    - we really do need a better winger. the right one that is. jonathan wasn’t playing really bad but wasn’t good either.this game shows that we can’t really count on him for big games. yet, still some applause for him
    - seems like we finally succeeded in cloning zanetti. either that or zanetti’s ancestor had a descendant who also plays for us. his name is campagnaro
    - juan had a better game than his first two. and i think because him and campagnaro had some good time covering theirs than ranocchia can focus on his own and do his best
    - the not-100%-kovacic already shows some promise. hope he’ll get his full in a couple of matches :)
    - icardi, icardi, icardi :) getting better in each games :) waiting for you to really bloom and take milito’s crown :)
    - and also another applause to the others :) guarin, good game. saphir, nice one but could do better. chuchu for me seems did some pretty good job. besides some couple of bad passes, he had some decent game covering the middle. nagatomo, great as usual :) samir, unlucky with the goal but did some good saves :)
    - mazzarri, good job coach. we could had done better with some better players. but thats okay. this team just keeps improving. love that :)
overall, a performance worth 7,5 score :) a 6 on the first half and a 9 at the second (could had been a 10). can’t wait for the next match :D

just forget maicon bro. jonathan is improving currently. it’s his first big game on his good shape. i would worry guarin’s role as starter and swap cambiasso with taider. alvarez, kovacic and taider at center is worth to try

  • bambamzamorano

after watching this match live, I still feel all the adrenaline, I can’t sleep so I was watching the replay of today’s game, and what a stupid goal we concede. It was clearly johnny’s fault, not cambiasso, guarin or alvarez, he should have known taht his team is leading and he shouldn’t lose that easily against asamoah. Nevertheless our goal also come up from the mistake of Chiellini, I just hope that Johnny will play much better against bigger team, if not we should seriously consider buying a right wing back for this january transfer.

  • Stojan Mihajlovski

This was a good game to watch, we were a bit too careful in the first half, but stepped on the gas in the second. A serious drop in concentration after the goal :( 2 Juve players took on our whole defense and scored, not good. Icardi, I had a feeling he was going to score if he came on, he is after all – Buffon’s nightmare. Was also pleasantly surprised by Taider, he looked solid today, and ofcourse the rise of Ricky – keep up the good work, kid!

The game would have been complete for me if I saw Milito on the field, but then again – lets not risk it :)

  • pfff

    Impressive inter!!

some times u just don’t expect it bro :( …

    • Nizar Ali Bawazir

      his view was blocked..

    • Stojan Mihajlovski

I dont think he even believed that 1 juve player can go through the whole defense and make a pass to the second juve player surrounded by our whole defense… and on top of that, he saw the ball when it was so near the goal line that it was impossible to save it.

  • Nizar Ali Bawazir

honestly i never believe alvarez will become that good like this match, not only technically but mentally, and physically.. he is very motivated and determined.. his build up and passing to icardi totally deserve man of the match.. forza mazzari to improve our beloved squad.. but i think mazzari should replace guarin with icardi not taider, cause taider in this game is very mature and reliable, guarin make to many error and even nearly cause us defeat.. and for icardi you are truly the anti jube..
    #FORZA INTER.. #THANKS MAZZARI..

don’t worry mate, no one ever believe it either :D i think mazzarri did a good job with that taider-icardi sub. it was the same with what i thought i would do. but what a bit irritates is the ricky-kovacic sub. since that point onwards we had a hard time trying to cope with their mid because neither kovacic or guarin can match ricky’s defensive duties. maybe it should be either guarin-kovacic or cambiasso-kovacic. or take an even more gamble by doing jonathan-kovacic sub. so guarin can play at jonathan’s and kovacic filled guarin’s spot

      • interistaaaaaa

yeah the sub should be guaro out kova in

      • InterFin

        I certainly did. :)

    Johny-cuchu-kova/taider-naga

I believe this can be our best formation because cambiasso is a little out of form but he’s our best defensive midfielder yes we have taider and kova that can be used on that position but they don’t have that strength and body that cambiasso have to push players off the ball. AND I would like to see two strikers because palacio is not a goal scorer despite him have an excellent finishing instinct, he’s kind of like cassano, very dangerous in the attack but would rather look for his teamates and create chances. So we need a goalscorer.. idk this is just my opinion. What do you guys think?
