MILAN - 12 Nerazzurri have been called up by their respective national teams for World Cup 2014 qualifiers, European Under-21 qualifiers and friendlies.
Andrea Ranocchia has been named in Prandelli’s squad for the Azzurri’s World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria on Friday 6 September at Palermo’s Stadio Renzo Barbera and the Czech Republic on Tuesday 10 September at Juventus Stadium.
Fredy Guarin will be in action for Colombia versus Ecuador at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla on 6 September and his side’s trip to the Estadio Centenario where they meet Uruguay on 10 September.
Yuto Nagatomo will feature for Japan in two home friendlies against Guatemala at Osaka’s Nagai Stadium on 6 September and Ghana at the Saitama Stadium 2002 on 10 September.
Alvaro Pereira, besides meeting Guarin’s Colombia in Montevideo on 10 September, will also feature in another World Cup qualifier against Peru at Lima’s Estadio Nacional on 6 September.
Rodrigo Palacio, Hugo Campagnaro and Ricardo Alvarez have all been picked for Paraguay v Argentina, the World Cup qualifier scheduled for 10 September at the Estadio Defensores del Chaco in Asunción.
Samir Handanovic’s Slovenia entertain Albania at Športni Park in Stožice on 6 September, before travelling to the GPS Stadion where they meet Cyprus on 10 September.
Mateo Kovacic is in the party for Ukraine Under-21 v Croatia Under-21 on 9 September at the Arena Lviv.
Ishak Belfoldil and Saphir Taïder are in the Algeria group that meets Mali on 10 September at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in El Bouleïda, Blida.
Finally, Patrick Olsen has been called up for the Denmark Under-21 team to play Andorra on 6 September at Aalborg’s Nordjyske Arena and for their trip to the Nogometni stadion Ajdovščina in Mestni where they take on Slovenia on 10 September.
