Tuttosport claims that Inter attacker Antonio Cassano could be on his way to AS Monaco following their promotion to French Ligue 1.
In late 2011, the ambitious club sold 66% share to Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, who now aims to take the club back to the pinnacle of French and European competition. With known Cassano fan Claudio Ranieri as head coach, there is all the possibility that the injury-plagued firebrand would be sold to the French side.
The transfer speculation is rife especially given the fact that Cassano only has a year left on his Inter contract…a note that Genoa have looked at with some interest as well. Although given his past with Sampdoria, and the ambitious future to be had, possibly with certain big-name players at Monaco, the Genoa move may not be Cassano’s first choice.
