Speaking to Sky Sport 24, Stefano De Grandis gives his opinion on Mateo Kovacic, the young gem of Inter.

“I finally saw some logical sense against Tottenham. He has great feet and Stramaccioni was right to play him as a regista (midfield director role) with Cambiasso and Gargano on his side. Kovacic is not a true regista yet but if he plays in that role often enough then he can grow and understand it even more.”

I thought the same thing when I saw the game. Kovacic made a great regista that game, he was awesome. If we can develop him and Benassi to use both as registas, then there’s definetely no need for Inter to sign Lodi.

agree.. what’s the point in sign lodi either when we already have kovacic, benassi and other, just wasting money or wasting talent that inter already have..

when benassi get more matured and improved, we could have great combo there as midfiled director

Ideed. I feel sad for Benassi’s mistake on totteham’s last goal. I hope he doesn’t let himself down for it and moves on….he Has a bright future as an regista at Inter.

Inter can play Kova anywhere in the midfield. And that`s the true value.

  • Storm Pooper

This is obvious, he was bought to be a regista.

we treasured a raw diamond in pirlo and let him passed by, now we discovered a bigger raw diamond in kovavic. a perfect future regista for inter for sure.
