Philippe Coutinho talks in an interview for Liverpool’s official website. The Brazilian who arrived in January from Inter expresses his feelings for these first months with the Reds. “I think the impact has been very positive for me, given that I already had some experience while being very young. I don’t know anything yet, I’m still learning, but playing in various countries was important. In Spain, for example, football is faster than that of Brazil, while in Italy the game is quite similar to the English, and this helped me.”

Coutinho will be great Player. But if he had to go so we can have to money to reformulate the squad…well, what’re you gonna do.

Cou, I wish you all the success in the world, but I have no idea how English football is similar to Italian football.

the change from brazil to italy is problebly biger then the change from seria to pl. I wish him all the best. In myopinion unfurtunatly it has been one of the bigest fault how inter has treatened him and even bigger fault in economical sense.

I agree with you about his settlement to the different styles of football in the different leagues and countries. I do wish Coutinho all the luck, but as with players like Balotelli, Pirlo, Seedorf and some others, we’ve did at that moment believe that opportunities gained by the sales would be greater than keeping the particular player. He might become one of the greatest during his active years, but as with Pirlo he might have done so in Inter.

Just think of when we gave away Destro & Bonucci to Genoa, two talented young players from our own academy and primavera. But we got Milito and Motta, two players who had a great part in our treble season. 13 million euro is a lot, for that money we got another youngster who I think actually could become better than Coutinho and more suitable for the Serie A. And that’s Kovacic I’m talking about. :)

Good analyzis. I agree with this :)

we did not save any money from hes sale, we got kovacic, the question is who is going to be better fit, covacic or coutin in future

  • Chalon

Just wishful thinking, but hoping in say 3 years we go and try to get him back. It woudn’t surprise me actually. Management didn’t really wanted to sell him, but priorities dictated different.

    • hasse77

Exactly, that’s exactly what I mean above in my other comment, that we did have a priority to give away Destro and Bonucci to get Milito and Motta for a lower price. Two players who will forever be cherished by us interistis for their part in the treble season.

think we’re gonna buy him back in the future? ;)
