To many people, Stramaccioni is not at fault in this situation at Inter due to an inadequate team. However, Giuseppe Bergomi, former Inter player, says that the Inter coach is to blame for this uneasy moment at Inter.

“Stramaccioni has his own faults because he has not had a precise and specific style of game or system. He keeps changing every single match and makes more changes as a match goes on. This gives little security to the players and it is clear that this team lacks an identity. Moreover, Inter have spent so much this year by buying a lot of players between 25 and 30 years old to reach top three.”

I don’t always disagree with Bergomi, because as an Interista, I respect him and always will, but I’ll have to disagree this time. I don’t think this team lacks character nor I blame Strammacioni for It. Changing is something good, I wouldn’t like to see Strammacioni insisting on a team that I don’t like just to see some sort of identity being developed. Remember, former captain, that’s exactly what Gasperini tried to do and that led us nowhere but the bottom.

I do Blame Strammacioni for tryring to make Defensive midfielders become AMF just because he has this pathological love for box to box mid and thinks that a team would need 4 or 5 defensive mid at the same time. I also don’t like the way he overuses the lett back and right back players, like if they had to distribute the game and be creative like number 10 players as well. He actually has the same mentallity for the wingers, like Schelloto alone would create and distribute the ball like Alvarez or Sneijder Would. So yes, he has his flaws, but honestly, I’d keep Stramma but I would like to see him Using Alvarez as AMF and also requesting another AMF for next season, so we could rely on more creative players.

Im okay with strama if he doesnt always change the formation each games, nothing change if he still do that next season

      • Rafael Vieri

I guess that will happen A LOT next season, with or without Stramma. We’ll get a lot of new players ( Iccardi, Sanchez(?), Andreolli, Campagnaro, Laxalt, Botta etc). So whoever the coach is will have to change the team unti he finds the better one. Besides, I don’t really think that changing the team according to the next opponent to be a bad thing. It’s so common in European football. Most people seen to be terrified of the ideia of using the backup players, but I’m not….AT ALL. But yeah, I understand your point of view, it makes things a little bit harder sometimes,

I agree strama changes formation to much from game to next and durring the match way to often

I see the problem with strama is he tries to play attacking football with old players. Our mid is too old to keep pace with that style, and they are not used to that system. We should give him another season to rebuild the team the way he wants.

Bergomi is right I feel. Strama has charisma, is young albeit naive at times with tactics, yes he hasn’t bought most of the players so he isn’t totally at fault but I’d just like to understand ONE thing what do we practice in training???? I’ll explain we can’t keep the ball at all, don’t attack in numbers (only 1 person in box vs 3-4 defenders), concede too many goals from set pieces, Guarin is the only improved player from
last season(Hand was already a great keeper but was playing for udinese, Palacio has been good too but both are new signings) barring these three none of our other players havee been consistent, Iets give Strama till end of season and see what he does, all I want to see is a better style of football, attacking as a team, keeping ball possession for longer so we can push more players forward altogether rather than relying on Cassano/Guaro/Palacio to individully win us a match and finally stop conceding goals we can’t win every game by being a goal down first!

    Agree with him

i like him but didn’t agree with his comment….

  • interdonesia

didn’t really agree with this. i do agree that we should had some spesific style that we are best of. something that really works for us. but that doesn’t mean that we should not change how we play for each and everymatch. tactical and strategies that changes within the flow of the match is something that is really important to win a match. we had to adapt to whatever good or bad thing that happens on the field. so we do had to take different approach for each game and each minute of the game. besides, isn’t that what coaches supposed to do, finding the best method to win the game?

Just see how Jupe play, they have their own style, based on their MVP on midfield and 3 defenders on back.. If they play, people can easily guess their team, and it works.. If Inter play, no one can guess it (maybe even Strama himself).. Not to mention other big teams in other league..

      • interdonesia

didn’t i said that i do agree that we should had some spesific style that we are best of? :) but you can’t just expect to do the same every week in every match and hoping that you would win the league. you may do it actually but only if your players ability is 1 or 2 levels above other teams

The uncertainty can, in a sense, be a GOOD thing because you surprise the other team with all sorts of unexpected tricks and pull off the cards in their hands, albeit a lack thereof security back at home-base in defense.

  • ade

Agree with Bergomi. Strama clearly doesn’t know what he is doing just another clown using a big team to experiment.

  • ororo

he is just unlucky with injuries. especially to our main man: Diego Milito. maybe i’m wrong, but i believe the inter we saw that trashed that mafioso club 3-1 is his real inter. my final verdict: disagree with bergomi, strama deserve another season.
