Doing commentary for Sky Sport, Antonio Di Gennaro applauds Andrea Stramaccioni for choosing a new formation against Tottenham yesterday. “He is back with two forwards and the team has found serenity. Should continue keeping like that but it is normal for Stramaccioni to manage his forwards.”

Will we see Palacio and Cassano playing together on Sunday versus Sampdoria especially after 120+ minutes that Cassano had to endure? It is hard to say…

This is possibly the first time that Di Gennaro has said anything useful at all. If you actually watch Sky, this guy is one of the worst pundits in the world. He says things like “Stramaccioni is not smart. He needs to play Bardi more than Handanovic.” The other ‘analysts’ and ‘experts’ in the room inform him of a crucial update: that Bardi is no longer playing at Inter right now.

Hah! Easy to answer… just ask the beloved owner of Sky, the wonderful Rupert Murdoch. He is just about as smart as Di Gennaro himself, so that should tell you about the hiring process. Sky isn’t a good primary source. Half of their first-hand news is never reliable (they said that at the end of the 2012 season, Stramaccioni will be replaced by Mourinho at 100% certainty). They only gather from other secondary sources and their pundits are interesting, while I will openly say that three of them are absolutely bizarre.

In short, it’s never a good idea for a cable company to create their own channel as a preliminary sports news source.
