The Romanian defender of Steaua Bucharest, Vlad Chiriches, has a very uncertain future as voices and rumors continue to emerge on the next possible destination for the 23 year-old central defender. In an interview with Calciomercato, agent Victor Becali updates us with the latest on his client.
“Inter and Manchester City are interested in my client? Well, they have sent scouts to see him as well as other Italian and English clubs like Milan, Arsenal and Liverpool. However, no one has presented a concrete offer at least as of right now. Steaua are asking for 15 million euros but I think that this figure is negotiable. Of course, we are talking about a really good defender although I am a bit biased when making judgments about him. There have been many players in his role that were sold for 7-8 million but he is younger and so it is normal that the price could be higher.
“Wage? If the club wants 15 million then I think the boy should be paid accordingly so at least 2-2.5 million euros per season. But figures are pure indicative and when a concrete proposal comes, we will see.”
