Oba Oba Martins: “To Me, Inter Are Still The Best”

AFter a season with Levante, Obafemi Martins is ready for a new adventure, in the Major League Soccer. The Nigerian former Inter player has signed for the Seattle Sounders and he speaks to Tutto Mercato Web.

“I am happy and ready for this new experience. I have signed a two-year contract with an option on the third and in two, three days, I should already be in Seattle. Am I leaving Europe too soon? No, I have changed many teams in these last few years and now I needed a new adventure. I will go to the United States with the desire to get to know a different kind of football. Inter? I remain fond of the club and to me, they are still the best in the world. The club is facing difficulties now but there is a lot of quality in this team.”

    that’s all he had…speed. Wasn’t a clinical finisher,had a bad touch and was never consistent but his celebrations were the best lol

    Obafemi was fast, he had no talent, but he was useful, specially because Ventola, Kalon and others were so horrible that when Obafemi played looked like he was better than he actually was. Also Because Vieri and Adriano were central forwards, therefore slow, and OBafemi seemed more fast than he actually was. In conclusion, he was just different from what we had at the time, but not necessarily a player that we should regret of letting go. I do regret the fact we couldn’t get our hands on Giovinco though, just as fast as Oba but way better.
