Gabriele Oriali, former team manager of Inter and Bologna, speaks to Radio Deejay primarily about Inter.
“Some mistakes were made but then again, it is not easy for anyone after the years that Inter won everything and it is not right for me to name names. Stramaccioni did not inherit a situation that is not his but he has handled it well and the president believes in him. I think that he will stay there for another year especially if the team can reach the Champions League.”
A return to football? “I had many important offers but in my heart, I was hoping to get a call from Inter. But I realized that this is impossible and my return there will never happen. I had 30 years at Inter. I grew up there as a player and as a man. It is normal to be sentimental towards the club.”
