We are just at the beginning of March and yet, according to the Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have scored the fifth signing for the 2013-2014 season: Ruben Botta.

For the 23 year-old Argentinian winger who has an EU passport and expiring contract, Inter have accelerated negotiations with intermediary Fernando Hidalgo (agent of Milito) to close everything for the next season. For Botta, a five-year contract is ready at one million euros plus bonuses. This is a figure that fits perfectly to the new policy of Inter which is cutting down their current wages. Agent of Ruben Botta, his father Ismael, was very clear on the future of his son: “Either he will stay at Tigre or go abroad.” The latter is victorious.

We are only missing the final green light of Massimo Moratti which should arrive very soon. But everything is set, Botta is the fifth signing of Inter for the next season after Campagnaro, Andreolli, Laxalt and Icardi.

    icardi is official?

    • DeJePeh

Same question here, Icardi has official yet?

    • hasse77

      No.

    • Sina

Not official, but all legitimate sources (Sportitalia, Corriere, Libero) say that the transaction was finalized in January and that he is simply staying in respect of his contract and to get further practice. It’s complete; Icardi is already an Inter player. It’s just the the announcement has to come. Sky Sport and Tuttosport just said the same about Botta: that he is an Inter player now and the deal is done.

      • Sina

And I need to post this separately as it is off-topic, but Walter Samuel (Il Muro) is back. He is training lightly at the Gentile and will be at Pinetina during Tottenham’s match to regain fitness.

21 Players Selected for Tottenham vs. Inter match tomorrow:

Portieri: Samir Handanovic, Vid Belec, Raffaele Di Gennaro

Difensori: Andrea Ranocchia, Cristian Chivu, Simone Pasa, Alvaro Pereira, Ibrahima Mbaye, Juan Jesus, Jonathan

Centrocampisti: Javier Zanetti, Ricky Alvarez, Fredy Guarin, Esteban Cambiasso, Walter Gargano, Marco Benassi, Mateo Kovacic, Niccolò Belloni

Attaccanti: Rodrigo Palacio, Antonio Cassano, Matteo Colombi

Wow… notable Primavera players: Colombi, Belloni, Pasa, and Mbaye. Interesting… looks like we’re sticking to a 4-2-3-1 overall and a modified 4-1-2-3 for attacking purposes.

            Some more crazy BREAKING NEWS…

Corriere dello Sport reports that Genoa has become very close to picking up Cassano. Inter management is eager to snatch Diamanti for €9.5M in June from Bologna and to help off-load the costs and save around €2.8M in wages & bonuses per year, they are willing to let Cassano go to Genoa and bring in Diamanti from Bologna. Both want to feature more frequently for the national team (Prandelli call-ups). The so-called “peace talks” continue so that FantAntonio will stay, but Corriere says that the contract renewal & extension until 2015 is now blocked to the player, so a move has become inevitable. The playmaker is hesitant to stay and has downplayed/softened the situation while waiting for an agreement between the parties.

Also, Ruben Botta to Inter is done. Just needs the same official announcement in June that awaits Icardi, Andreolli, and Campagnaro.

A pleasure, as always! I apologize for not getting the chance to reply to the other comments you’ve made in the Catania thread. I read all of them and will get back to you now that I have the chance. Work, although an awesome position, takes plenty of time from the day.

            great updates!

Glad you enjoy them! I’ll always end up posting them on the comments of every newest page (the latest story of the time) that Michael uploads… just so you know where to look.

I wouldn’t mind… I think the choice is his, especially because (or at least from my memory of running multiple web sites), posting requires administrative login credentials, and that is sensitive information and most would just not be willing to give something like that away. However, there are always possibilities (creating a new Admin with modified permissions) in these new website hosting services.

BREAKING NEWS —— Inter Primavera drop out of NextGen Series as they lose 0-1 to Arsenal at home, the Facchetti Centre pitch. Conditions were arguably extremely wet and muddy, but the knockout round decides. Midfielder Tennaris, Arsenal Captain, scored the winning goal in the 68th minute, sending a low ball past Di Gennaro, who is expected to fly to England anytime now in order to prepare with the main team for Tottenham’s match tomorrow.

Arsenal just scored… oh noes! It’s 0-1 at the Facchetti and the pitch is a muddy mess here!

          • kifni41

they’re playing in the mud.. and finally they lost :(

          • kifni41

is there still any chance for them? is it just single match or home – away match?

          • lolwhat

            No, only single match

          • Sina

Yeah, but I enjoyed seeing just how many attempts and runs they made in such few minutes. Like in the last two minutes alone… they created like 7 attempts. That’s phenomenal. This is one of the advantages of the Primavera… they have a drive like no other.

          • lolwhat

our primavera nowadays are different from last season. Most of them are
            just promoted from Berreti level.

          • Sina

Very true, and I noticed that our new coach doesn’t use any of Strama’s techniques at all. The nuovo primavera is completely different, despite a couple of same players (Del Piero, Di Gennaro, etc.). Hoping for a comeback next year!

  • interfan bucuresti

And now please bellomo and peruzzi

    • isaac

      and cirigliano

      • 1908

Oh yes, bring us cirigliano! He’s great in the pisition as regista! He reminds me of verratti! Would be a really great singning!

  • ilham

    amazing

  • miki

what happend with our great primavera squard? I really tthough when strama was taking over we will see so young blod in the line up.. Our babyies hasent got any chance beside Livaja who is great now, BUT not at inter. I really hope for next season we will see M’baye, Caldirola, Duncan, Benassi in our first team squard, so players like jonatan, silvestre, stankovic, gargano can leavel..

    • interfan bucuresti

I think so too… When this season started moratti and strama said we will use our youth… I have seen nothing… I want benassi in starting 11 and bessa too!!

    • http://twitter.com/mongkih mongkih

we got a good academy but we don’t have much guts to reap what a great seed of talents we’ve sowed. always the same mistake. those whom got thru, made up their name somewhere else. starts from obafemi martins, pasquale, krhin, santon, andreolli, balotelli, destro and else, now happened to livaja and soon, duncan too :(

      • indo_inter

I agree with you. We should use our primavera. Not sold to another club.

    • kevinches

Primavera and seria a are completely different levels. These primavera players are not good enough to break into the 1st team. Just inter won a youth title dont make the players in that team good enough to break into the 1st team. All Milan youth players who are currently playing in their 1st squad were bought from other teams, El Sharaway, De sciglio, Niang, Ballotelli and Constant. None came up from their primavera team. The young players inter are purchasing have either played for their country at youth tournaments and or are playing 1st team football in their country’s league

    • mrz_inter

our primavera nowadays are different from last season. Most of them are just promoted from Berreti level. And Arsenal were just very lucky as they only made 1 shoot-on-goal and it was a goal :(

  • noor

Icardi isnt still on the team I think Because morrati sayd that icardi is samp player yet

  • demon

  • Zselic

great, now its time to get players who can help winning the Scudetto and getting back to the Champions League in 2014…
    quality > quantity

  • slaze

:Great news, now in the summer sign couple quality players to win scudetto next season like: Diamanti,Fernando,Damiao or/ Osvaldo,Cirigliano/Quintero,Peruzzi and Daglas/Licnovsky/Galeone

  • inter-united

    sign cigarini

  • http://www.facebook.com/toluaddy Tolulope Adeyemi

Great news indeed… There will be stiff competition for places at the heart of defence next season… News from Holland suggests Douglas Costa of FC Twente has put all discussions with Anzhi on hold after Moratti’s offer… Only awaiting official announcements…

I just pray we buy Weiss too (on a free transfer) and we’ll be good to go… Forza Inter per Sempre!
