John Carew has landed in Milan. The striker, who should replace Diego Milito in the Inter attack is making his first official steps towards Inter. The difference will be the upcoming medical test to exam the player’s condition and fitness who has not played since last May. If everything goes right, Carew will sign a contract with Inter until June 30, 2013 and will give Stramaccioni one more option to expand his ideas after the injury of Milito.

Meanwhile according to Matteo Barzaghi of Sky Sport 24, the Norwegian striker has landed in Milan. John Carew is staying at a hotel that new Inter signings are usually stay in. In the next few hours, Carew will complete a medical which will be the last step in the process of becoming an Inter player. According to Barzaghi, who compared him to wrestler The Rock, “the player could earn his confirmation from now until the end of the season.” Sky also has collected the player’s first words: “For me, this is a great opportunity, Inter are a great team. I am physically fit and ready to play. And now we will see.”

The Rock, is that you ?

If he passes the med test, will he be able to play the next game? I don’t understand the free agent players policy.

If Strama decides to start him and the regulations for registration the player for play in Serie A are met, so yes he could play next game I think. Else the game after.

Good Luck, Carew. I’m really trying not to judge this guy until he actually plays. I guess I’m just reliefed that we will have a true number 9 avaiable, even though it’s not the central forward of anyone’s dreams. Sometimes a mediocre player can prove himself more useful than a star that is not willing to give his best for us.

A player who hasn´t played for almost a year can´t give us anything! He´s big and strong but so is Ranochia!

But he can do things with the ball, that Zlatan does with an orange!!%!!!!!! O_o

I think that he could be useful, if he is in decent good condition.

hold on a minute……. Rocchi has only played 4 games for Lazio since the summer and trained week in week out with them before coming to Inter, where his condition was deemed to terrible to play yet BUT Carew that hasn’t played an official game since may and just finished shooting a movie is ready to play ? come on we’re becoming a joke here. Rocchi is gonna cost us 800k till June and Carew another 300k that’s 1.1m down the drain and they speak of lack of funds. I know the excuse is that no one thought Millito will get injured but if am not mistaken isn’t that why the word “PLANNING” was invented, so you don’t put your eggs in one basket. In as much as I love Inter, I have to say this: the club is going down, its just 4 points between us and third and we’ve been chasing it for 4-5 games now. If care is not taken we might chase it till the season ends

How can he join to us without transferperiod??????????

    • Rafael Vieri

he’s a free agent. Players without clubs can join other clubs even though the transfer period has ended.

        Ah okay…. Thank you

  • Pazzotifoso

He’s 6’5″. His job will be to head balls towards the goal. Anything else will be a bonus.
