John Carew and Inter are closer and closer. Here is Gianluca Di Marzio updating us on the latest situation of the 33 year-old Norwegian striker who is a free agent.

“Carew has not played since last summer and he moved to Miami. Inter did not seem willing to sign a free agent at first but in the last hours, the assessment of Carew has taken serious shape. For physical characteristics, Carew is considered necessary for a striker like this and contacts are underway with his agent. Inter, however, before want to do anything else, want to evaluate the player’s overall shape and physical condition. It is expected that Carew will be in Milan Tuesday or the next few days to have medical exams. He has given given assurances to Inter management on the phone (that he is in shape) but of course, a physical test is needed. For Inter, this is a concrete possibility.”

Meanwhile the Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that there is already an agreement between all parties, that of Carew and Inter. The player is expected to be in Milan today to continue working out the last few details of this operation.

Word is that the player will sign a short-term contract until June for a fee of 300 thousand euros.

          • Solberg – Norway

i guess he will be good at holding the ball becouse of his strenght and hes fairly good in the air. but besides of that he have not been good for a couple of years now.

one thing is for sure though, and that is he will not dive like that week pazzini when a defender touches him.

          • Rafael Vieri

nah, it’s not because you’re norwegian that you know carew better than any of us. He’s been around forever, everyone knows exactly how he plays, and I can tell he has qualities that Rocchi doesn’t have, plus he’s stronger and more fit than Rocchi, so what the hell, let’s give it a shot.

  • ton

and why is he better than garritano?

    • ahmad

perhaps because he’s taller, experienced, stronger, or good at heading, ..it really suck we dont have another options beside carew

  • ahmad

maybe it’s better than nothing although we still have our primavera strikers..once again we remain unable to understand strama. so John please do us a favor as good as you can and DONT GET INJURED of not fit!

  • Haha

    JC is back…. and
Rocchi is prepared for our lethal striker next season hahaha

  • Rafael Vieri

I won’ judge Carew. Good Luck to our new number 9 and let’s just hope he impress us and help a lot.

Ah…..my eyes….my eyes…..I can’t believe what I read today…..Damn….There’s so many many good players at Primavera…why don’t just try them? I knew some of them, like Tassi, Adama, Garritano, Gabbianelli and many more…..I can’t remember all their names…Why? Because so many of them…….I just pray Carew will adapt well in Inter and give good contribution….Well, what can I say? Inter is a big fans of old player, not young player…wew…so sad…

    • http://www.facebook.com/shaddie.adjetey Shaddie Adjetey

yh its closed and thats y carew becomes an option cux he is a free agent player now.

  • Stojan Mihajlovski

JOHN CAREW?!?! IS INTER FUCKING SERIOUS? Did the Inter management start smoking glue and noone noticed???! I totally cannot believe this shit. Strama may become a good coach with some experience, but his eye for player talent is simply dissappointing………

    • http://www.facebook.com/shaddie.adjetey Shaddie Adjetey

dont u get it? the sport directors make all the mistakes and wen it fires back, they throw all the blames on the poor young coach and blame it on his unexperience.i’m an inter fun and i knew from a brazilian source that the sports ds of inter never contacted paulinho and there was an episod.they should be dismissed.mourinho would have stripped them off their coats on tv by now.all the good players he prrescribed to inter are all gone now.back to the old route

      • Stojan Mihajlovski

Yes, as I commented on some older post, it seems that Mourinho’s acquisition was pure luck for Inter… as there is a saying here: Even the blind chicken will peck a seed once in a while… I am utterly disappointed in Inter right now, I believe that Moratti the fucking clown should just sell the club to someone that knows how to run it.

      • Stojan Mihajlovski

And btw, the story that Carew wanted to play for A.Villa but they didnt is not true, but he tweeted himself that he would love to play for them, but that he couldnt get match fit before May…. so guess how good he will be for Inter! Here is the Tweet:
