Former Inter great Sandro Mazzola talks to the Gazzetta dello Sport on what Stramaccioni should and must do to turn the ship around.
“Moratti did well to give confidence to the coach. We must remember that this is the same team that dominated Juventus at their own home a few months ago. Inter have also won pretty much all direct matches (versus Champions League opponents). Stramaccioni has tried everything. Before he was forced to change because he could not find the right balance. Now that there are different alternatives on the field, he must focus on one formation and on a smaller group of players. Then there is a lot of work needed on the psychological level too. Using new players now? Given the poor quality that he had before in the midfield, I think that Stramaccioni is almost forced to play the new players.”
