Gazzetta dello Sport: Schelotto Should Not Have Played, In Poor Condition

It was not a good debut for Ezequiel Schelotto. The Argentinian winger only played for 45 minutes and arguably could be blamed for both first half goals scored by Siena. As a result, the Gazzetta dello Sport had no mercy by giving him a four in the rating last night.

“Four for him. This rating is shared with those who decided to send him on the field. The player was in a very poor condition. Have they not done tests for him?”

Schelotto was inactive for most of January due to transfer rumors and perhaps starting him right way was not a good idea.

    no comments on this? If this is true, than i take back the negative stuff i said about Shelotto.. why would Inter’s management/Strama play him? Are we THAT desperate to sit Pereira? mistakes are being made here…

    the problem in my opinion with schelotto is that he played too forward and sat too much into our attacking half which left a big gap for siena to play through, he should of stayed more so towards the middle of the park so 1) he can recieve passes & run forward and 2) run down defend when he has to, Strama needs to tell him this or else he will become worthless to us

      the problem is, what he told to the press aswell(!), he’s never played as a wing back. the only formation he ever played in was 4-4-2. its clearly the manager’s fault if he’s playing him in a different role only after ~3 days of training with the team

    i wonder if strama could change the nature role of schelotto into right back. i just feel that he can be good in that position.the main condition of course strama should be good enough to develop his players. konko in lazio now become quite good as rightback.or the easiest example is pirlo by ancelotti. chivu was played as DM under mancini..as much as i hate alex fergusson, i have to say that he’s very capable to influence his team. when MU plays, all of his midfilders definitely must help the defense..schelotto is good phsysically, fast, and have good cross..some natures of full back i guess.

    exactly, we shuold not put pressure on new signings in so important game, they sholud have they debut at Meazza in a game we are in front already….
