What Happens If Paulinho Does Not Come?

The question has to be asked: what is going to happen if the club does not sign Paulinho? Alternatives are ready. The idea is Kuzmanovic whose agent has denied and canceled any link between his client and Inter. Then you have Biglia. The Anderlecht midfielder remains possible but only on loan. Third is the unconvincing option of Gago, currently playing for Valencia.

The fourth is an interesting one. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter could look to bring back Rene Krhin. The 22 year-old Slovenian is co-owned by Inter and Bologna and he is the last minute idea for the midfield.

    even if we do manage to sign paulinho, dont we still need to sign another midfielder? since mudingayi is out for the rest of the season. and mudingayi should be sent back to bologna since he wont be useful anymore. there is no point continuing to pay his wages while he sit in the clinic.
    if paulinho does arrive, we should still sign either biglia or gago.

      since Mariga is back from injury…he’d honestly slot into Mudingayi’s role. I honestly like that idea. Oh and remember that one guy…ummm….Stankovic, yeah that one. He’ll be back from injury sometime in the next week or two…so yeah. I think we have replacements ready…kinda

        i dont know if i like the idea of relaying on deki and mariga for the rest of season. at 34 years old deki isnt what he used to be, especially after still being injured since last season. and mariga is.. well… mariga. his best attribute is his physical presence in our midfield. he isnt the best technical player. and we need midfielders who can contain and pass the ball. ive never seen as a starting XI for inter.

          I mean, yeah I’m saying he’d be in Mudingayi’s role…aka a bit part player. Mudi was a sub at best and fill-in for injuries. And Mariga brings that physical presence we’d miss w/o Mudi. and Stankovic…goodness, how many months out? idk but Strama likes him allot apparently, if only he was a few years younger, he’d be the regista we’re looking for. only late game appearances for Deki would be justified.

            well yea, mariga kinda already is a bit part player at inter. he is good enough to be backup or for emergencies.
            and deki will probably play a few matches, since this will most likely be his last season with us.

    Other than it being a barometer of how incredibly inept our management are…
    it would be a tragedy, as we’ve let many others come and go waiting and begging for Paulinho.
    I do hope he arrives for anything less than 20M, if not, Biglia would be a great option.
    Yeah not too sure about Krhin…we’d still need another box-box if he was in there…not physical at all. Whatever. this is all driving me mad

    I really think what we need to do is bring Guarin back to being a central midfielder (or defensive midfielder, whatever it is that Strama uses in his formation) and buy a proper attacking midfielder

      Couldn’t agree more! We have problems just because of this. Guaro is like Motta, a midflielder that can play offense. Inter played well only when Deki or Motta were in the midfield.

    Meanwhile, Spurs sign Holtby for 1.8mil and Juve sign Llorente for free. Why do we insist on overspending for overrated players. Be crafty like every other club. There are plenty of bargains to be scored, but our one-eyed management are too preoccupied with getting shafted to see them. New management!

      Everyone saw what we did for snijder, Cesar,etc, so if you are top bosman player who wants a big club will you come? it is sad that management can just scare good players and promising youngs away

      I agree 100%. Eriksen is already a real threat for Ajax on the attack. Now that Sneijder and Coutinho have both gone, he would be ideal in my mind. But Branca doesn’t think like this. I think he just closes his eyes and points at a name and tries to sign them. He has no interest in our club progressing.

    3 days until the transfer market closes and Milan are about to tie up a deal for Balotelli while we have signed Tomasso Rocchi and left it too late to sign anyone else while we played the fool for Paulinho who Moratti never wanted to sign anyway! Awesome stuff board! Balotelli will destroy our defence just like Destro did! And when we sell Livaja he will do the same to us as Couthino will as well! The Board has go!       Duuuh, thats the point of co-ownership.. If he had stayed at inter he wouldnt get gametime. Now, at bologna, he has matured when playing consistently and costs us half the price hes really worth. Co-ownership is good business for player and both clubs. I dont rate him high though:/

    We need 2 midfielders, 1 amazing defender and a poacher attacker. Dont expect miracles even if he comes… I would buy a classical central midfielder with excellent passing and a really quality winger (Weiss from Pescara would be an amazing purchase – that kid will be a great player).
