Massimo Moratti closes the doors on the possibility of signing Paulinho. Outside of his office in Saras, the Inter president issued a statement that effectively puts an end to any negotiations for the Brazilian player.

“At this time it cannot be done, it is more likely that he is going to come in June. This is not so much an economic issue but  for the player’s commitments in Brazil with Corinthians.”

Corinthians have postponed everything to the next window, this summer. Too complicated to convince the player to give up the chance to play in the upcoming Copa Libertadoers who wants a good show before saying goodbye definitively to this club. Therefore, Paulinho will probably wear the Inter shirt in June as confirmed by Moratti.

“Nothing news” on the front of Schelotto as hinted by the president. For the Atalanta winger, talks are still alive but the club in Bergamo remains firm on their position. Still need at least another midfielder for January after the serious injury of Mudingayi (out 5-6 months, out for season) and that midfielder will not be Paulinho.

I’m kind of glad about this news because this transfer window is driving me crazy and I think the 20 million for the transfer of Paulinho is excessive anyway. If you also take into account his salary for the next 3-4 years (9-12 million) we could buy Bellomo, Salamon, Icardi, Botta, Correa and Quintero or at least 4 of these talents and personally, I’d prefer this. The advantage of this would be that it will be evident that at least the management is finally taking this supposed ‘project’ seriously and trying to implement it. I’d be happier to see this than placing all our eggs in the Paulinho basket just to see us fail to reach Champions League spots.

Can’t you see what Moratti says, Paulinho is likely to wear Inter’s shirt in June…… Which means he’s not willing to spend the 20 Million $ to sign other players now, he will stick to the money till the season ends. after that will see the 20 million$ magically evaporated by Branca to some mediocre players. Dreaming for CL is sweet from now on……

    We are doomed

  • Mezo

This is actually good news to me, I really didn’t want to waste that much money on one unproven (in Europe) player, hopefully we do get some transfers done in the next couple of days though, it’d be an extreme shame to see that all we’ve done this month was sell Sneijder and Coutinho and buy Rocchi….

  • havar

And a cold, slow, sarcastic clap to the Inter management. Well played good sirs!

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Aditya Chandra

this guy Paulinho now sounds to me like he has low adaptability. It’s more likely that he will not settle easily in Milan. And we remember unsettled Brazillian Emperor all too well…

  • Martin

That’s what they say in June. It would be easier in January. Here we go again. Just sign somebody cuz like this we’ll be in the CL only in our dreams.

    • Solberg – Norway

It must be more costly not to sign this player. I mean if he can take us to the CL we will make moore money than we will without participating?. And without a reinforcement i cant see inter qualify;(

And by The way… In june “every” club will whant him and the price will be higher. I cant see another reason for corinth to keep him when they know he will leave anyway. Believe me, we will never get this guy in inter.

    Lame Moratti

  • http://www.facebook.com/gawarikar Parth Gawarikar

No, he won’t come in June too, and you’ll say ‘He’ll come next January’. But he won’t come next January too, ‘cos by that time some club with BALLS will have blown us out of the reckoning with an astronomical bid which we won’t be able to match!!! I hope Coutinho guides Liverpool to a treble next season, THAT’LL show you nimrods!!!

  • Alex G.Meazza

In June he’ll be 35mil and we won’t bring him anyway

  • Solberg – Norway

Legen…. Wait for it… Oh, it never comes

  • interdude

Our management is shit, how can a big club like inter be begging for a player and get tossed around for a year from a club like Corinthians. I don’t know how big they are but i know they aren’t as big or bigger than inter. Our Management needs to wake up cause they are hurting inter more everyday with shambolic signings and selling our talents, with all due respect Moratti has lost the plot.

    • Thiago

So in fact you know nothing about Corinthians…

      • maestro

shut the fuck up Thiago. you are not belong here. fuck you with all your comments about brasilian league.

      • 1nteristi

FUCK YOU THIAGO..GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE..

    • Rafael Vieri

I guess everyone knows, even their fans and Paulinho himself, there’s no comparing Inter with a small club like Corithians. Still, the team is entitled to refuse offers and the player can also choose to remain there. I remember, years and years ago, Real Madrid tried to take Cordoba from us, they offered a lot of money, Inter didn’t want to sell but Real Madrid was putting a lot of pressure on us. Cordoba just said no, they keep offering more money, until Cordoba just said ” I’ll retire the day Inter says they don’t need me anymore”.
Real Madrid stopped after that and Cordoba remained.

All things considered, it’s a similar situation, like I said, I’m not comparing Corinthians with the greatest like Real Madrid and Inter, but we shouldn’t be trying to get a player that doesn’t be an Inter player in the first place.

On the other hand, we have Mariga and Silvestre, players that are doing their best do earn a chance, refusing to move and we’re determined to waste their efforts.

      We have got to change.

      too late. nicely done Branca

  • http://twitter.com/HamdanHamedan Hamdan Hamedan

Oh Lord, grant me and my fellow interisti patience. Inter management has had seven months to convince Paulinho to join us but still no positive outcome. This summer, his price would increase for another 5-10 millions, and that time we would have to compete with PSG and Man City. Another Lavezzi, Sanchez, and Lucas Moura scenarios in the making.

  • ak-47

Wanna hear some more bad news? Balotelli have joined Bilan, and we are buttfucked by Branca…….
