He seemed to destined to stay at Espanyol but according to Sky, Longo has changed his mind and wants to return to home, to Inter. The Italian striker, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, has asked Inter to terminate the loan and take him back to wear the black and blue shirt. If this happens, Livaja could be sold to Eintracht Frankfurt in negotiations for Jung, but for June.

finally some positive news! this transfer window has been a sad, depressive, and disappointing one. BRING LONGO BACK!!!
and “Livaja will be sold”? whatever happen to loaning him?

  • mr Pink

Am I the only why who thinks livaja has a bigger upside than Longo?

    • Solberg – Norway

      I too agree

Agree. Livaja better than Longo. younger too !

        • Solberg – Norway

Yeah, and like his physical precense. Witch other 19-year old do you see as strong as he is? Onlyone in my mind is balotelli when he was at that age. He also got great technique, loved when he controlled the ball with his chest and voleyed in the post. His not a dribler though :/

maybe, maybe not. longo hasnt been given a proper chance in the 1st squad. so i dont think we can judge yet on who might be better.

As long as Strama has a plan to use him regularly and actually doing so, perhaps he could return. Yet as the current selection policy indicates, he won’t get much playing time and will end up warming bench.

    Why cant we keep both?

He looks like a stick man upfront.

  • Domenic

Does anybody if he performed well in spain?

    • Rafael Vieri

No he didn’t. He started well, scoring 2 goals and then just got lazy. Then, Aguirre became the new coach and started keeping Longo away even from the bench. He’s over there not being called up. There’s a reason he wants to come back, and the reason is, he’s at the same situation he was at inter, only on a significant smaller club.

I’d put him in over Rocchi anyday

If we’re relying on one of Longo or Livaja to step up as has SES of Milan, then we are truly in deep shit. They are both nothing more than average, Livaja is dreadfully average and I’d be happy to swap him for Jung, we desperately need some width considering the 15mil dollar man (Perreira) is useless.

I have no sympathy for the club since we’ve had perfectly good quality young strikers (Balo, Arnautovic, Destro, Castaignos, even Cou) and we’ve sold most for peanuts. Although don’t worry, we have Rocchi.
