Corinthians Director: “Inter In Brazil? That Does Not Mean Deal Will Be Done”

Corinthians have admitted the interest from Inter for their player in Paulinho. According to the club sporting director Roberto de Andrade, “The interest from Inter for Paulinho is public. However, their possible mission in Brazil does not mean that this deal will be done.”

According to sources, the intention of Corinthians is to keep Paulinho in Brazil until July. Will Inter be able to offer an attractive enough offer to lure the midfielder to Milan in a few days?

        Well, our stubbornness has been pretty evident since Strama began yearning for Paulinho, man. It’s just that these guys have been stubborn for two years straight. And it’s not so much that they don’t want to sell him. They simply want to get a super-inflated price for him. That’s mostly how Brazilian Euro-feeders work!

          It worked with Lucas Moura, didnt it? Those “normal” sales are not a requirement for Brazilian teams to be financially okay. Due to the economic momentum, most of the top teams in Brazil can afford not to sell their best players, unless it’s a great offer (even an exaggerated one, like Lucas’). That’s the case of Neymar, Paulinho, Oscar, Lucas, Bernard, etc. IMO, Corinthians will not sell for less than 20-25 mi euro unless Paulinho demands to move

            he has a 18m release clause mate, Moratti is not stupid, he wont sell sneijder and coutinho not knowing that paulinho to into is a probability. paulinho will come to inter whether it will be now or in the summer

            The release clause can only be used in international transfers if player is on his 3rd year of contract. Check FIFA’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, rule#17. Paulinho’s contract is still protected

            I’m saying this because of Breno’s transfer from São Paulo to Bayern a few years ago. Clause was 17mi, player left for 19mi

    Just get me Damiao, we won’t need any creative midfielders then. Let the defence send long passes to the attackers! Well perhaps not the best tactic, but we would then get a player suitable for Europe.

      Remember, Stramma doesn’t want a player that is a true number 9. He didn’t want Pazzini at inter, he said no to Borriello and Huntelaar. Even if we bought Damião, Stramma wouldn’t use him anyway.

    Inter management is the worst. You have a team (Montpellier) willing to sell their midfielder and the player wants to play for inter but you are going for a midfielder the team dont want to sell and the player is on holiday gettin fat and out of shape.
