Sorry, I have to disagree on Mundigayi. He never was and never will be better than Cambiasso. Yes, sometimes, might be the case that Cambiasso was doing badly and mundi just was on a better day. I don’t recall that at inter, but could happen, once in a life time. The same goes for Mariga, Obi,Benassi and Gargano, they might play, one game or another, better than Cambiasso but by no means we gotta assume they worth be on the start lining up because of this. (Hypothetically, ’cause I do like Mariga and Gargano)

Mundigayi is poor techinacaly and physically. I don’t recall him being fired at Lazio because he was doing so great they tought the player should leave to join Barcelona or Real Madrid. He wasn’t good enough to be at lazio and that just means, just like Rocchi and Carrizo, he also shouldn’t be here.
Just my opinion, though. I couldn’t care less about his injury, I think it just might help us.

But I do agree on your view over Strammacioni., It was a gamble, but he was a gamble we just had to do at the time. There are no good coachs avaiable and we didn’t have the money to pay the wages of a great coach , like Mourinho. Strammacioni had just won the Youth UCL, so I guess that just made sense at the time. The problem is, the momment he became our first team coach, he forgot his beliefs, just starting take the same path that Ranieri and Gasperini Took. like, Benitez tought we should play with the defensive line almost on the midfield and it didn’t matter how much the results proved otherwise, and it didn’t matter how much Moratti said in the interviews it wasn’t working, he just kept doing until finally Moratti got fed up and fired him, despite the World Championship Title. Gasperini was the same thing, only over a 3 man defense. It wasn’t working and every single game there we are playing that formation from the start. For me, Strammacioni is the same thing, He ain’t incompetent, just like us all, he knows tha using 3 man defensive + 4 defensive midfielder is just too much, but still, he’ll keep doing it and he will also keep fielding oldest team possible, until it’s too late. I feel kindda sorry for him, because all of us, including Moratti, should be on board with his ideas. For him to succeed, we have to believe he has the talent and strengh to do so. Sadly, it’s going the other way around…every horrible game we play, winning or losing, more and more fans just stop back him up and it is his own fault, most of the time.

I guess you nail it when used the word “Gamble”, ’cause that it is exactly what it is. Here is the thing about gambles, sometimes they pay, bur more often than not, they don’t.
