Strama: “Must Make Painful Sacrifices To Get Player Who Can Help The Team”

Andrea Stramaccioni really likes Paulinho. No, he is obsessed with the Brazilian even. Speaking in a press conference before the match tomorrow against Torino, the Inter coach makes a few comments regarding the situation around Coutinho and Paulinho.

“I use the word ‘painful’ because it would mean letting go of someone that I’m fond of and who started this project with us. It was the same with Wes. It ended the way it was supposed to end that’s fine. You have to make choices: if we think it will improve Inter, we’ll do it. If not, we won’t. And regardless of who we have here on 1 February, we’ll fight to the very end. Would it be better to sign a trequartista or a deep-lying playmaker? What’s ‘better’ depends on what you have and what there is going, there’s nothing ‘better’ in an abstract sense. This is the mid-season transfer window and if we can then we must improve Inter with players who are good enough to play for Inter.”

      Say what you want about Benitez, but he was not a coward, He fielded Coutinho and Biabiany at the same time. You gotta give him credit for that. Still, to this day, I have nightmares with that defense line playing almost on the midfield.

        Why Rano or Juan, we have so many crap players with us like Silvestre, Jonathan, Gargano. We can get rid off old players or tell them to lower their wages like Deki, Chivu, Cuchu and Milito. Stop signing old or over rated players like Rocchi, or Schellotto. If we had a good economist working for us there are plenty of things we could do to save money. Instead we’re going to waste 15-18 million on Paulinho while losing Coutinho and Sneijder

    I watched this kid(coutinho) play last season and this one too, he is nothing special. Inter are the winners in this transfer, they got lot’s of money for someone who is unproven and if you ask me, he is nowhere near good player for Liverpool.

        Its just my opinion, i havent seen anything special in him. Yes he can dribble and run,weak shoots and thats it. But what if this transfer turns out to be the best for us? For an unproven player in serie a, 13mil is good. and i have seen paulinho play, you should check out his goals and skills in youtube. I know our manegement are doing stupid things nowadays, but for me, he hasnt done anything special for this club. 13mil, an unproven player for serie a is a good deal. what if he flops in liverpool? 13mil is good, mate. Inter are the winners in this situation.
