Orrico: “I Support Giving Up Coutinho For Paulinho”

Corrado Orrico, the former Inter coach, is in favor of Inter selling Brazilian midfielder Coutinho for another from Corinthians in Paulinho. “Coutinho, to me, never seems to be a formidable force. Someone describes him as a mascot for his physicality. I mean, if he were to go away for a real player, like Paulinho, then I would support it,” Orrico said. Philippe Coutinho is on his way to Liverpool while Inter should start blitzing for Paulinho starting next week.

      Well did Coutinho really bring anything, which reminded you of creativity? I would rather say that the tactical role he was given, he did bring some flair with him. It would be interesting to see him play behind two attackers central on the field, but he was rarely given that chance to show us what creativity he had.

      If we do get Paulinho now and he plays quite well, we have a good pair with him and Guarin. In the summer we then can try to find a player in front of them or behind them (Pirlo behind Marchisio and Vidal), who brings the creativity. I did hope that Sneijder would do so this season, but due to injuries and that he wants to play higher up it did not became reality.

        The problem is we sold a good player that was ours and it’s not 100% sure we’ll get Paulinho. If the player himself just doesn’t wanna move to inter, doesn’t really matter if we pay his release clause or not.
        I don’t care how good this guy may be, if we’re not his first choice, he shouldn’t be here.

        But I like Alvarez better than Coutinho, so if the brazilian leaving means Ricky is staying, fine by me. But I honestly think we should consider buying a playmaker, a right defender and a central defender before we spend 18 M euros on a box to box mid..

            Belhanda, player who always arguing the referee, but he have cannon ball and good driblbe. still 22 and doubt as next hazard. Sign him soon for our next playmaker! and… please don’t give shirt number 7 ! :))

            Ya i really hope inter sign player who can pass ball direct to our attacker and dribble so our gameplay wont be always depend on long pass :(

          Paulinho is an Inter player now. Its on Wikipedia, on 4 year contract.
