Bergomi: “Inter, Play More Youngsters”

Talking to Sport Italia, former Inter player and now its legend Beppe Bergomi talks about the current period of Inter, starting with the Sneijder case who was sold to Galatasaray few days ago.

“Sneijder was almost separated from the group. The situation was not handled well and by the way, he was an important player for Stramaccioni. Now there is Guarin but missing a player that can build up plays in the midfield. Plus, we must have confidence in playing the youngsters.”

    Yes, former captain, we all know we should play more youngsters but our coach disagrees. let’s just field Rocchi instead of Livaja, sell Alvarez and Coutinho and buy a handful of box to box midfielders, I’m sure that’ll lead us to glory.

      I think that Strama doesn’t want to risk loosing points playing with youngsters, and is pressured to take points and because of that he starts with more experienced players.

      If that pressure comes from Branca, Moratti or the fans, I can not tell. But one thing is sure, that is that we all want Inter to succeed as fast as possible…

    Am I wrong? I thought “box-to-box” was a positive term for a hard working midfielder who could get into scoring positions as well as defend. I’d love to have lots of “box-to-box” midfielders…

      It’s positive, but They can’t be our only options, we gotta have different players on the squad, how can we change a game if all we can do is replace a box to box with another box to box?

      Think about it, in some games, you need players that can get that last pass right, not just running with the ball and kicking it from far hoping they will find the net.

    noo we need to let rocky play instead of livaja, lets sell coutinho and alvarez and fail to bring some players from brazil, i heard there is good player in serie d he’s 40 years old and can shit on himself, lets give his club 2 milion + half of longo and half of livaja card, then we can take the champion leage…
