Inter and Roma are ready for another showdown at the Stadio Olympico on Wednesday night in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals. Not a lot of changes are expected for Inter as hinted by Andrea Stramaccioni in the pre-game press conference. The Inter coach said that he will field his best team out there and this game is not the time for player rotation. The Gazzetta predicts the same defense and attack for Inter just like the Sunday match against Roma. In defense, the trio of Ranocchia, Chivu and Juan Jesus will continue getting the trust from the coach. Guarin is still going to provide support for the two strikers in Palacio and Livaja. Changes could happen in the midfield however. Instead of Zanetti, Gargano and Nagatomo, Gazzetta believes that Strama will have Jonathan on the right with Mudingayi and Cambiasso in the midfield.

      Zanetti, Gargano and Nagatomo played on Sunday. GdS believes Strama will have changes in the midfield and that Jonathan, Mudingayi and Cambiasso will play.

    Why 2 destroyers? why doesnt play benassi instead of cambiasso or mudingayi today against roma? our youngsters must play to be a big star. the same whit cou. everyone says he must stay but he must play to be a one time a great player. when he all time set of the bench he be always a talent who will be never a star. wish that cou stays whit US!! but he MUST play!! ok to time he is injured but if he is fit he must play!

      Chivu was slow and always caught out of position last game. He is just a liability as sylvestre. At least sylvestre is faster.

        yes but cambiasso is better at organizing the defense and tackling! he has no business being upfront and benassi can create chances from deep. I just prefer cambiasso right infront of defence

    Stramaccioni should realize that his 5 man midfield can’t control the game when there’s no creativity , Palacio is all alone up front , this team isn’t ready for this style of play. Chivu and JJ are 2x better defenders than Ranocchia, who should quit football and start flipping pancakes.Guarin only 1 that makes difference ;)

          From this term, my analize is strama still confuse who should he played on winger and forward…

          - Should he play both nagatomo and pereira at the same time on the left side, or nagatomo on the right leaving pereira on the left alone…??
          - Should he play 2 striker or lone striker…??
          - No matter who come from the bench if he has attacking type, he will fill wing position.
          - Strama doesn’t like creative midfielder, so burn your dream if you wish classic no 10 on Inter starting XI… He likes power and physical midfielder… Thats why we collect so many CMF and DMF
          - The heart of inter’s attacking is nagatomo because he shorten gap between guarin and palacio

          1 thing that i still don’t understand… Are we stick with attacking or defensive philosophy, or what…??? Because our formation and the way strama pick starting XI nothing reflect one of this…

          The best formation we have:

          This is a very dynamic formations, #1 (defensive), #2 (balance), #3 (offensive) and with this formations, i think it’s ok playing without playmaker.

    i guess our coach has new name now : Andre Absurd Stramacioni..
    i just cant understand why strama always seems to get wrong in picking up the lines up? it is even worst when it comes to tactic. the guy si totally absurd!!!

    at first i think jonathan was our worst signing, but now i probably will change my mind..we spent 11 or 12 million for pereira. a left back who completely has no vision at all. he cant penetrate and even poor in basic skill of a full back namely, crossing..in this case, marco fuckin branca is the one to blame. he let the club being fooled by other teams to pay overrated players..now i see a reason why porto sold him.
    cambiasso enjoys 4 million per season who plays average. gargano makes wrong passes too many times. i love the recent performance of guarin, but he should realize that he isnt messi oriniesta to keep dribbling the ball.
    is there another player who can replace zanetti? for fuck sake, he cant keep playing 90 minutes every match. we dont expect too much from him to create a better passing and possesion from midfield! with all due respect, our captain should be benched sometimes.

    and on the top of it, we intend to sell alvarez or maybe coutinho who technically are much more skillful, visionary, and especially the play with brain!!!

    With this formation, Strama wanted to replicate Helenio Herrera’s Grande Inter at 60s, but unfortunately he failed very hard since he is lack of experiences and tactical knowledge and he does not possess quality players in the defensive line. Unsurprisingly, we lost to Roma. Wake up you darn Moratti and Branca! Splash your money to bring quality reinforcements!
