Before buying anybody, Inter must sell to raise the necessary fund especially for the midfield. A “brain” in the midfield as identified by Stramaccioni will arrive immediately after the departure of Wesley Sneijder (probable) and Alvarez (more complicated). Branca and Ausilio will rush to get the objectives that together with Stramaccioni, have been identiifed. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, “the top of Strama’s wish list remains Paulinho. But negotiating with Corinthians will cost Inter about 20-25 million euros.”
Paulinho is certainly an expensive operation and thus, plan B is also ready: Ezequiel Cirigliano, River Plate and U-20 Argentinian midfielder. “With seven to eight million, the deal can close. River Plate president Daniel Passarella was in Milan a few days ago to propose his own jewel but to also understand the position of Ricardo Alvarez.”
The same president mentioned that Alvarez could give Inter the first option when it comes to acquring River Plate talents in Rogelio Funes Mori and Ezequiel Cirigliano. Perhaps this is a good way to start negotiation.
