Before buying anybody, Inter must sell to raise the necessary fund especially for the midfield. A “brain” in the midfield as identified by Stramaccioni will arrive immediately after the departure of Wesley Sneijder (probable) and Alvarez (more complicated). Branca and Ausilio will rush to get the objectives that together with Stramaccioni, have been identiifed. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, “the top of Strama’s wish list remains Paulinho. But negotiating with Corinthians will cost Inter about 20-25 million euros.”

Paulinho is certainly an expensive operation and thus, plan B is also ready: Ezequiel Cirigliano, River Plate and U-20 Argentinian midfielder. “With seven to eight million, the deal can close. River Plate president Daniel Passarella was in Milan a few days ago to propose his own jewel but to also understand the position of Ricardo Alvarez.”

The same president mentioned that Alvarez could give Inter the first option when it comes to acquring River Plate talents in Rogelio Funes Mori and Ezequiel Cirigliano. Perhaps this is a good way to start negotiation.

ricky – shouldnt be sold. even more so if sneijder leaves. he is YOUNG and TALENTED and can be great for us if he can just get over the injuries. soo fingers crossed.

paulinho – 20-25mil is waayyy to much imo. if we cant sign for no more than 15mil, i say forget about him. we wont be able to compete with chelsea or any other big club that wants him.

cirigliano – now him i like. ive seen him play several times, and im not talking about youtube vidoes. this kid is quite talented and has great potential to be great. simply put, he is the argentinian version of verratti. except this 20 year old wont cost us 12mil. i think we should sign him regardless if sneijder leaves or not. i really do hope this one isnt just a rumor and branca and ausilio are truly considering him.

The funny thing is that Paulinho is no “brain” in the midfield!

amen, he’s an enforcer, a box-box all around player. Definitely not the regista we want

So true. I don’t know why inter is so preferential to South American players. Benat>>>>>>Paulinho and if the the article is right, he is the same price. Spanish players are the best in the world right now, like Valero is awesome for fiorentina. I’m just saying there is a world besides Argentina and brazil

IMO, the only person who can replace sneijder @inter is just Coutinho. Sure if we can get Paulinho is a meaningful reinforcement in our midfield. But do not make mistake, I doubt he can replace sneijder’s role. So, our best subs for sneijder is still remains Cou, unless Branca and Ausilio come to Brazil for Ganso (which most likely a delusional idea too).

And there is an unheard name comes to replace Alvarez. Come on, Alvarez at first was also unheard names at Europe. And now we’re give up on him then would like to sign another unheard names ? Looks like our club nowdays loves gambling too much, ain’t it ?

    Hmm, I think I saw a bit of a ‘brain’ with Benassi….
and I doubt I was just seeing things…

Paulinho is not worth that much money!!! If we can get him at no more than 15 its a deal but why spend so much money on one player that hasn’t even proved himself. I think we should sell Sneijder and buy Quintero for 10 and then by either Lewandowski or Dzeko in the summer.

DONT SELL ALVAREZ WE’LL REGRET IT!
