The love affair between Samuele Longo and Espanyol seems to have come to an end. The young talented Italian striker started the season well but with the new Espanyol coach Javier Aguirre on the bench, everything is changed. In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Espanyol president confirms that they are looking for a new striker and that Longo could leave in January. “We are looking for a number 9, a striker to give to Aguirre,” said Joan Collet.
The player has many admirers in Italy especially Siena, the club has made an inquiry on the player and also Marko Livaja.
