What a horrible game. The incredibly terrible performance by us for the most part after a full week of preparation. The horrific miss by Milito just a few inches away from an open goal. The shameful non-call by Giacomelli on that clear penalty call for us at the end of the game. Just horrible.

PREVIEW

No more Silvestre. Well at least that is according to the Gazzetta dello Sport which has predicted that Andrea Ranocchia and Walter Samuel should be healthy enough to start on Sunday against Cagliari. So we should see the familiar faces in the defense again together with Juan Jesus. The midfielders are Nagatomo, Cambiasso, Gargano and Zanetti with the regular trident of Milito, Cassano and Palacio.

Where is Zanneti? And What is that about Alvarez he is average player, good substitution maybe..

      • http://twitter.com/herditya Herditya Pradipta

I doubt Ricky can turn into a great player. Too slow for a winger (he’s natural position), never got into the match whenever deployed as a trequartista.
        He’s not a game changer.

        • inter_island

Agreed he doesn’t play that trequartista role well but he’s dangerous on the wing… To doubt Ricky is harsh seeing as he hardly gets playing time.. IMO people forget how he pulled us out last season..

    • http://www.facebook.com/loizos.ioakim Loizos Ioakim

sorry guys but i didnt write this formation my little brother used my pc and because i visit fedenerazzurra every day he found the page and made a formation with all the players he like so please excuse me and oh by the way i think alvarez is a great player if we give him time just remember what he and milito accomblished last year

We need more fire in our bellies after the break! I can see Coutinho and Pereira coming in. Wonder if there is a possibility of Mariga coming in for Cuchu or Gargano since both have yellow’s.
We MUST take advantage of the other teams games yesterday, we must control the ball in midfield and with this attack we WILL score, as long as we hold onto the ball. FORZA INTER!

  • http://www.facebook.com/ahmed.h.sultan.37 Ahmed Haider Sultan

    SHIIIIITTTTT…….THAT WAS A CLEAR PENALTY !!!!!!!!!!!

  • havar

The ref is not to blame, if we were the better team, we’d have won with or without the ref.

Our midfield is very lacklustre, too many defensive players in there for my liking, and Gargano is nothing more than a hound dog in the middle.

Nagatomo the only one with a bit of flair. We only looked better when Alvarez and Coutinho came on. I hope Strama starts one of them next game.

  • McShlisy

We are definitely still in a transitional period in my opinion. We still can’t get one style of performance to the next match. Lacking consistency and we definitely need a few players to come in in January. Gargano way too many incorrect passes, one of which led to Cagliari’s 2nd goal. Milito wasted way too many chances and even though the Ref should have given the penalty, I don’t think we should let that overshadow our performance because regardless of the penalty we should have won that game if we played properly like a team that actually wants to win the scudetto. Personally I don’t think we have capable players and definitely no depth in the team to compete for the scudetto. And double that statement if we’re going to go for the Europa League then I think the most we can hope for is Champions League Football next season. We need a few signings surely, a CB a midfielder or 2 and perhaps one class striker( (but that should be last priority). PS. Silvestre please leave.

  • Hakemo Amerius

We must stop blaming referee after every match. Inter had to blame their player itself for make their life difficult on the pitch. After Inter scored 1st goal, they just passed the ball around and show lack of urgency, passion and hunger to get the 2nd goal. Lacklustre midfield display. No killer pass. No vision. No creativity. This is not the first time Gargano show his disability to make a good passes and yet he still start most of the game. Milito as usual fell easily & screaming for free kick and always miss a simple chance.

Eventhough now Inter played with 3 CB, they still conceded a goal in almost every matches and I start to wonder why. Is it really defender problem or is it a DM problem? Most of the game, I noticed, opponent player wondering quite easily into Inter’s area without any real protection from DM. Gargano & Cambiasso is not a good ball winner and lack of aggression and speed.

    Disappointing result and display overall.

what we dont have today are good finishing and luck. agazzi was superb though. and milito, just dont be egoistic, even after you’ve missed 2 clear chances. non mollare mai. we’ll be back on our winning track. #forzainter

ps : how long will strama not be on the bench? just a week?

  • Interisti

Does anyone know the full match highlights?

  • http://www.facebook.com/toluaddy Tolulope Adeyemi

What a dreadful performance by Strama and Inter… Completely shambolic performance! Despite having a whole week to prepare for this game, Strama stubbornly stuck to a horrific dead-end 3-4-3 outlay with no flair whatsoever. The movements are way too predictable, he has lost the unpredictability about him which served him and the team so well before the Juve game… Now it’s back to square zero. He had better get things right from now going forward or else Inter is screwed! Someone should remind him he’s still a nobody, he has not won anything and in Serie A drop points against small teams all too often and you can kiss the championship good bye!

I don’t ever want to see Gargano and Cambiasso playing like this ever again (same terrible performance just like against Atalanta)… We made 24 wrong passes against Cagliari’s 10. Cagliari was simply too fluid, hungrier and wanted more of the ball all the time. We just sat back AGAINST a team like Cagliari… It’s far too unacceptable. When you’re Inter and you’re up against a certain team named Cagliari (it is a crime to sit back and gift 60% possession to your opponent whether home or away – regardless of whatever tactical decision or system the coach decides to employ). Our stupidly cautious approach was disgustingly provincial.

The whole utter non-sense started against Atalanta, which in my own opinion – we didn’t even deserve to draw let alone win. In the same Atalanta game, we gave away far too many balls in the midfield, while Atalanta went about their business winning the ball back in the middle of the pack. I don’t ever want to see this meaningless, disjointed performance ever again. Just bench Cambiasso & the equally useless Gargano (he can’t even pass the ball to save his life) and play some Primaverra players who can press the ball well and distribute fairly.

Zanetti was completely horrible just like against Atalanta, Ranocchia was equally useless, couldn’t intercept a single Cagliari attacking ball. Milito – yet another mediocre performance, still can’t believe he contrived to miss 2 sitters, my grandma would have converted those chances. WE NEED A NEW CF, not just a washed-up Milito understudy. I need a clear-headed striker who doesn’t miss sitters all too often like Milito does. Considering all the incredible chances he has fluffed so far, he’d easily be the leading scorer in Serie A – but he’s not because of his profligacy in front of goal. One minute he’s world class, the next 30 minutes he’s completely mediocre. Mota was right when he said Eto’o is continents ahead of Milito – this is the sort of game Eto’o would resolve singlehandedly. Milito is becoming increasingly bad.

We’re lucky to still stay 2nd on the table… Luck has finally run out now. With Fiorentina playing like trojans, another slip-up and we’ll end up 4th going into the winter break. We can’t give excuses about players out injured, seeing injuries are part of the game. We simply are horrible in the last 2 games… This satanic trend has got to be inverted going to a difficult ground – Parma.

I’d talk about the referee in the appropriate article.

I’m completely pissed-off right now… This horrible performance almost ruined my evening.

Michael – you’re doing a gr8 job (keep it up).

  • http://www.facebook.com/patar.hatigoran Patar Ronnie Hatigoran

i don’t mind with this update issues “ref”… I just don’t understand why Inter always start the game with slow tempo… I dream Inter play like second half from the first minute…

  • http://www.facebook.com/toluaddy Tolulope Adeyemi

Michael, please what’s the latest on Obi? The lad is way way better than Gargano. He can pass, he has great technique (from his days as a 2nd striker), he’s fast, he’s got vision. The last I heard about him – he started personal recovery session last week or something… Even though he’s not a ball winner. Gargano should only be a water carrier (to borrow a leaf from Cantona – a comment he made about Deschamps long ago).

Please update me on Obi and Guarin, Michael – do have a gr8 weekend… cheers.

  • neroblue

Honestly, we’re lucky to get a point out of this match. Yes, it was a penalty, but the team effort wasn’t there. Samir and Palacio are easily the signings of the season for us, Silvestre will go back as well as Gargano, when their loans are up. After about a third of the season, we have a good idea of what we need, and that is two midfielders and a center back. On the bright side if the rumors are true Inter have agreed to a pre-contract deal with Rossi, its for four years at 3.5 million a season(panorama.it).

  • crf

for me, this is hardly a youth movement. 3 players started today that i could see playing for inter 5 years from now. Rano, Juan Jesus, and Handanovic possibly. Why isn’t Coutinho starting?? He’s so promising, Both Inter and Serie A desperately need new young stars. The same goes for Mbaye. Results are important, but i dont think the inclusion of these young players sacrifices any quality, at all.
