Inter Milan was the top Italian club in the latest worldwide rankings from the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), in 18th spot. With 205 points, the Milanese side was level with Velez Sarsfield of Argentina.
Catalan club leads the standings of the best clubs in the world which is prepared monthly by IFFHS ranking that affects the period from 30 September to 31 October, they came top with 349 points followed by second-placed Atletico Madrid, Universidad del Cile third with 289.5 points, Argentina’s Boca Juniors fourth with 276 and Real Madrid fifth with 271.
European champions Chelsea was sixth with 256 points followed by seventh-placed Bayern Munich on 253, Corinthians of Brazil in eighth place with 238, Athetic Bilbao ninth with 222 and Dutch side Twente rounding out the top ten with 216. The second-placed Italian club was Napoli, 22nd with 202 points, while Serie A champions Juventus was 26th with 189 points, level with Schalke 04 of Germany and Colombian outfit Quito.
