Andrea Stramaccioni was pleased with his clubs 1-0 victory over Partizan and singled out Samir Handanovic for his peformance .
The Nerazzurri were only able to break the deadlock in the 88th minute thanks to Rodrigo Palacio after Handanovic made a game changing save moments earlier.
“In the first half we suffered which I can say was due to their possession. In the second half we dominated, we played inside their half,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“We suffered against a team that showed all of their skills today at the San Siro, something they were not able to do in their first two matches of the Europa League.”
“They showed they are one of the best clubs in Serbia with some very interesting players.”
“Then we saw that Calcio is beautiful, in a lethal counter attack, Markovic showed he has a great future by getting one on one with Handanovic.”
“In that moment our goalkeeper made a save that was worth a goal and he showed that he is one of the best goalkeepers in all of Europe.”
“I think it is only normal that a squad with 25 players will not have the same form across the board. The important thing is that my players know that the coach and club have tremendous faith in them.”
“We want to win this competition a lot. We are Inter, we have an obligation to be protagonists in Europe just like in Italy.”
“We want to go all the way.”
