PREVIEW

Milan derby. It doesn’t get any bigger than this. After a slow start, both clubs have started to pick up some momentum by winning their last previous match away at Zenit and Neftchi. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, due to his positive performance in the Europa League, Philippe Coutinho is expected to have his place in a starting spot against Milan on Sunday night. The young Brazilian will play just behind the duo of Diego Milito and Antonio Cassano. The other four midfielders that should be in the starting lineup tomorrow are Nagatomo and Zanetti as side midfielders with Cambiasso and Gargano taking care of the middle. In defense, Andrea Stramaccioni seems willing to stick with his three-man defense which consists of Ranocchia, Samuel and Juan Jesus.

god i hope this lineup is true. Sexy as hell with Cou behind Milito and Cassano. I also think that Gargano should play before Guarin in a match like this one, and that Pereira should be benched for Zanetti and Nagatomo.

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

      ‘sexy’ sounds appropriate.

Forza Inter! I hope Milito can score a hattrick!

    • Nizar Ali Bawazir

and cassano score too i hope.. ^^

  • Zselic

for fuck sake, what the hell is Samuel and Cambiasso doing in the starting XI? the wall is a time bomb, im 100% sure he will get a red card. and as for Chuchu, he is slow as hell, cant really read the opponents play anymore, Mudingayi is way better than him. also, why the hell did we sign Pereira?
    Handa
    Rano-Silvestre-Jesus
    Nagatomo-Zanetti-Mudingayi-Pereira
    Cou-Cassano
Milito (unfortunetly Palacio won’t start, even though the Prince is in HORRIBLE form)

    • Zselic

forgot to add, if Strama MUST select Cambiasso in every single game, then put him in Samuel’s position. at least he wont walk around in the middle of the field and watch as any milan player passing the ball through

    • Aleksi Kavasto

Cambiasso is a fighter with a big Inter heart. He’s really good defending midfileder and ballwinner – he is a bit slow though, but Gargano brings the pace. Our best defensive line is Rano-Samuel-Juan – we don’t have better options now. Samuel has played pretty well the few matches…and yes, he’s probably going to take a card. Forza Inter!

      • Zselic

yes, both of them can be useful againts Catania, Torino, Partizan and Atalanta. but not againts Milan, Juve, Roma, Lazio, Napoli. not anymore. Cambiasso got slow, he doesnt read the game that good anymore. and as a central/defensive midfielder, thats a key! or at least, if you make a mistake, you try to make up for it (like Gargano does). Chuchu seems a bit careless lately. Mudingayi deserves a chance, he can eat the whole Milan-midfield by himself
I respect all our great champions, but rather sooner than later, Stankovic, Cambiasso, Samuel, Chivu shouldnt be in our plans. especially for an important game such as tonight’s

    • http://twitter.com/akhumaini aris khumaini

dont forget, if cambiasso and zanetti play, inter always win.

    • Ucok Fumario

i agree with u Zselic.. Cambiasso is too slow and make inter play like 10 player..
I dont understand why Strama choose him for defensive midfielder role?
Defensive midfielder duty is protect defend, Cambiasso always leave the central midfield and attack.. Why we dont use golden handshake term like we do for maicon and julio cesar? We better to keep Julio Cesar and Maicon..

      • pato injuried

hey stupid people…u think football just about speed hah?you have to realize that in football intelligence with or without ball is very important factor and cambiasso have it….so shut up…!

        • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

          well-said. I like your name.

      • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

Football is half physical sport and half chess game.. Cambiasso is a chess GM and a decent athlete.. while mudingayi is pure athlete.

      • kifni41

real football isn’t like PES or WE.
        It isn’t just about speed.

        • Zselic

modern football is about speed. we dont have a normal midfielder defense since Mourinho. Strama is not able to create a solid defense even with 3 central midfielder, mostly because Guarín is lazy as f*ck, and Cambiasso doesnt give a shit either. you can tell whatever you want, but neither the coach and our midfielders are unable to adapt to the playing philosophy for over 2 years now. back in the day under Mancio or Mou, we managed to defend with only 2 midfielders, while Etoo, Sneijder, Pandev, Milito were on the attack. hopefully things will change, because thats the weakest part in the team since Jose’s gone

          • Ognjen Dakic

Pirlo,Xavi,Xabi Alonso, de Rossi…are not fast players so you want to say that they dont know how to play modern football…LoL…Everything is about vision and sport inteligence…Speed is important but only speed means nothing…

          • Zselic

and since when Cambiasso has a vision such as the mentioned players? he should defend, or at least try to keep the balance between the defenders and the attackers. look at tonight’s game. probably the WEAKEST MILAN IN THE HISTORY runs through our team so easily. im not saying Mudingayi is the best DM in the world, and he could stop the team by himself, but fuck yeah, he would try at least… we are giving away too much space again…

          • Ognjen Dakic

We won with 10 players…Camiasso has solid vision,he is very inteligent player, very strong, and with great ball control for DMF.He is not mistake prone player…What else…

          • Zselic

i know its hard to let go of our great champions, but its pretty obvious Chuchu past his peak. We have a really weak midfield defense for 2 yeras, so it is his responsibility aswell. he got slower compared to last year, he doesnt win too many balls (look at Mudingayi, he was the 3rd in ball winning serie a’s last season, our best was LÚCIO at the 27th place). maybe as a central defender he can be useful, but i think both Obi or Mudingayi is a better choice right now.
prove me wrong, Chuchu, like Samu did!

          • Ognjen Dakic

Im with you when you say that he passed his prime, but its hard to replaced him…In January, we should try with Paulinho, cause we cannot afford better option…

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

the wall is time bomb? lol. when did you become inter fan? Chuchu is Inter’s on-field tactician.

    • Nizar Ali Bawazir

i agree cambiaso already in decline,, but to compare champion like cambiaso with the like mudingayi i don’t agree at all,, let alone say mudingayi is better than cambiaso..

    • Ognjen Dakic

Cambiasso improved his form in the last few games and he deserves to play…

    • Zselic

well done Samuel :) u just proved me wrong :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/kelierdy Kaveh Elierdy

Lets replace samuel with Cambiasso and put Alvarez in midfield and nagatomo in right and obi on the left flank, it’ll be more fluent!
    Forza capitano, lol

    • http://www.facebook.com/kelierdy Kaveh Elierdy

      Fluid i mean ;)

    • INter

      sorry alvarez out of derby

    • intermaniax1

      no time to tinker.

  • inter_island

Ok Interistas…. So it’s derby day already…. Too soon for any clear cut favorite even though Inter probably has the edge.
This formation should be fine in the first half but here’s where we really miss Palacio and Alvarez. Everything is coming down our left flank ….. We need to balance our attack or if Milan can lock down our left side it could be a long game for Inter.

  • http://twitter.com/aldyfu iamsuperman

we will win because its an away match! Mark my words.

  • INter

i hope strama pair gargano and guarin in DM. bench cambiaso,

    • dipesh

nooo guarin bench comes on later on in the match i wished alvarez was going to be playing

  • http://www.facebook.com/qhaeeee Isaac Kay

Not to worry fellow interistas, we’ve gotten Abate for the assists. Hahahaha!

  • Fredy

with gargano and cou feeding the balls to milito and cassano we’re certainly gonna end this game with lots of goals. i am predicting a massive 1-4 victory. i just hope guarin could play like he did against neftchi, passing his work rather than finishing it by himself like cr7 as he is supposed to do that. everything looks fine, including the formation. FORZA INTER PER SEMPRE!!!!!!!!!!

    • dipesh

well even though guarin was brilliant vs netfci gargano deserves because was good vs chievo and fiorentina

      • Fredy

i know gargano is a far better player than guarin but if strama chooses to play him before gargano then i hope he keeps that form of his. but i still want gargano to start anyway

  • dipesh

im not sure about naga here dont get me wrong i like him but periera is better crosser of the ball and more technical hence will trouble the crap out of milan defense especially against defensively weak abate

  • fat cassano

el classico for first half, then the derby for full time……forza mou….!

  • Kazaan

Best Inter player of the game> Abate

Come on Il Principe – one more time

  • Juen Inter

You dont talk about cambiasso like that, you guys forget easily when he and Zanetti plays we win,he might be slow but the brain box of inter now,Mundigayi is no where near class act cambiasso, lets eat Milan Today,Coutinho will be a bomb in this game, blast all Milan defense,i wish Ricky was there too, they would have shown Milan why we are the best,Samuel should be benched and Silvestre played…..Forza Inter

    • kifni41

i agree about cambi… it’s not just about “respect” why Strama still using cambie, i believe there is a fair reason.. We need someone that can “lead” not just play good, but make the other play good. About Silvestre, i think he still deserve the bench looking his lately performance, maybe Strama should try him but not in this derby…

    • qwerty

Silvestre? Hell No… I prefer Samuel to that clown
Remember that Samuel was on the treble winning squad few years ago. We will need his vast experiences to help Rano and Juan to step their games.

      • Juen Inter

you are right,Samu won the derby….Goo mate

NEVER, i repeat, NEVER call Diego Milito an idiot…

    • Branavan

What kind of Inter fan are u…disgraceful to call one of our greatests like that…how dare you.

  • http://www.facebook.com/sanchezpostigo Renzo Oliver Sanchez Postigo

I hate to see Inter playing AC Milan like a low table team/2nd division team. Strama must improve thw playing style of Inter.

  • Ljun

I like that we are winning, but when I as see this match, I think we are seriously running our luck. If we win that would be great, if we lose I hope strama has another idea in mind. This match is also nothing short of annoying

  • KL

Referee is a wanker, no way does that equal red. We are definitely riding our luck and hopefully it lasts.

  • INTer

we won the derby with all the suffered in entired 2nd half.

  • http://twitter.com/aldyfu iamsuperman

Did you guys mark my words?

  • Aleksi Kavasto

Good fight! Good points! Forza Inter! :)

  • n1tefury

Happy with the win but strama has become a different coach than last season. His football now is nothing like last season when we deploy free flowing attacking football. I thought he likes attacking football.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1069723346 Mahdi Viva Palestina Torabinej

i mean, its tough when we need to focus on stopping conceding goals, and then that red. Im quite content with the final display given the situation, just need to find the best balance with all these new players, its coming, slowly but surely.

    • vfdxi

Dude we were playing with 10 men. If nagatomo was still playing we could have scored 2 goals. Palacio should have played instead of milito cuz milito couldnt do anytving but just running after the ball. Im agree we played poorly in the 2nd half. but im pleased anyway. win is a wi forza inter!!

    • Ognjen Dakic

      You are lost…

    • n1tefury

I’m refering to the first half…

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

I prefer his style now. He’s much wiser. He found balance in 3-5-2 which essentially is 5-3-2 when defending. I prefer solid defending followed up by direct quick counter attack (Mou style) rather than free-flowing attacking football (Zeman/Barca style) as we don’t have the flair to do so.

      • n1tefury

Hmmm good point. On second thought, I think this is the best formation for the time being. And looking at our current players, they can’t accomodate free-flowing attacking football without sacrificing the defense.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1069723346 Mahdi Viva Palestina Torabinej

    FORZA INTERRRRR :D :D :D
Great heart even when faced with a bs red, reminds me of the Mourinho era style character and braveheart defending. Incredible Handanovic, great game from Ranno and Wally. Boys, thats another few months of bragging rights across town :D
Milito needs to step it up, or else Llorente or someone, should come, Guarin needs to hold the ball better, and idk what else honestly, im just too hype we pulled that off. Great result for Strama to bolster confidence in his position, honestly, its been way too long since we pulled off one of these, vital win :D look at the table now Bilan haha!
    FORZA INTER!

  • Keio

Nagatomo better go back to his homeland with Maria Ozawa.

    • Il Principe

ah come on man, that was a harsh sending off and he was doing well before sending off. why is there a lot of naga hating here? he’s a good player with a lot of heart and effort

      • Branavan

Well said. Nagatomo has been one of our consistent players and that was a harsh sending off. I would easily start him every match as Strama has done because he plays well with heart

  • josh

    • Στεφανος Τσουντας

michael problably had a hangover after the win of the derby and they are trying to find him :P

      • dipesh

seriously im checking this site everyday for michael to update the posts he should have included rossi’s agent saying he is open to inter, and then updates on paulinho does michael need a writer to write for him

  • Interist1

Whats wrong with milito?? He sucked…

  • Havar

In all honesty, both sides were/are poor.

On the plus side, Handanovic was an inspired acquisition, so kudos to whoever brought him in.
And Ranocchia is truly blossoming into the player we all hoped he would one day become. Patience is all that’s necessary.

    • original jack

Handanovic is a solid goal keeper. we don’t miss julio cesar, and guess what he is cheaper. Inter need a Regista in January someone who can hold the ball and distribute. Sneider could play that role, if he decides to fall further back but he is very lazy…. and i wouldn’t sub Gargano for him to play. Gargano plays like he has 180 minutes in him. The game was poor you are very right…

  • http://twitter.com/icanglubis M. Ikhsan Habib

where are you michael? have you been busy? or no more updates?

  • neroblue

If we’re gonna continue to play three in defense, we should get Benatia from Udinese. Instead of getting Paulinho we should get Fernando in the summer, we still need a proper ball winner. To compliment our attack Giuseppe Rossi is the one, if reports are to be believed he’ll cost around 5 million this January. Inter played a good game against Milan, we need wins like this to develop a new identity for this new Inter.

  • DonTuliosS Interista

I’m glad and ofcorse happy with all the 3 points but,c’mon we were good just in the first 15 minutes the other 75 minutes we only defended, so i’m not happy with our performance.
Bilan are team that suck big time and can not compare to Fiorentina and we played like shit with all our players being better than Bilan we played like last year under Ranieri i really don’t thin k that we can go on with this style of playing, against Fiorentina we had the ball and always looked the more dangerous side but against a team that is curently 11th in the renking we had like on shoot on goal.
Don’t get me wrong Interistas but i don’t like the way we are playing because it’s the same style of playing as last year under Ranieri.
Anyway,.. allways and forever FORZA INTER Siamo Noi!!

  • Otlo

WHY is there not even a small match report. U report so much stuff during transfer season and virtually nothing when the actual season is here

    Where is Michel cmon!!!!

  • Dimitri Sandy

lol People should be a little patient, i’m sure Michael has a life outside of this site. Maybe look into having a bigger staff?

    • Branavan
