FORZA INTER

PREVIEW

Will Inter finally win at home for the first time this season? That is the question that is surely on every Interista’s mind as we are approaching the third league home match for the Nerazzurri at the Giuseppe Meazza tomorrow.

After losing to Roma and that embarrassing display against bottom feeder Siena, Andrea Stramaccioni will have to come up with something very special to conquer a very good team in Fiorentina. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Cassano will start alongside Diego Milito up front. In the midfield, it is believed that Stramaccioni will field the same midfield just like the one against Torino a few days ago. Pereira and Nagatomo are on the left and right respectively with Guarin, Cambiasso and Zanetti serving as central midfielder. No changes for the defense of three man. Juan Jesus, Walter Samuel and Andrea Ranocchia will be responsible to slow down the likes of Ljajic and especially Jovetic.

I thought we could play 4-2-3-1. when will coutinho get the chance?

  • Kauko

Fiora is not Chievo. They will crush us if strama will use this formation. We wont see their penalty area… I really hope I am wrong. :/

  • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

    I miss that ponytail

  • Imtiaz

This is funny formation. Zanetti, nagatomo and pereira are full backs. So,we are basically playing 6 defenders, 2 DM and 2 strikers at home. We didn’t play even the mighty Barca at camp nou with a formation this defensive!!! My heart remains hopeful but my brain is giving negative feedback about this.

  • Wasim

considering both team players I can’t see where our ball possession will come from in the attacking third of the pitch with this team, CM is where we need to dominate if we’re to win this game, hope Cambiasso and Zanetti can stop Pizzaro and Valero from playing and let Guarin play box to box , personally I don’t think we need to play Nagatomo as this will mean not enough players in the box should play Coutinho instead and Alvarez has to play 2nd half for either Pereira or Cassano, as Cassano always gets tired after around 60 minutes or so

  • cockroach

people that comment about formation..are u have coach license??if not, shut up and leave it to strama ..he know condition and situation in the team better than you…

    • Bigcdel

So you’re saying that unless you’re a qualified professional then you cannot have an opinion on any topic?

    • Zox

Yes everyboy plays football menager ans d think he knows best but in real life is very differenn. Wll said mate!

    • ahmad

this is a fans site not a proffesional coach site. are u sick?

    • Ognjen Dakic

hahahahaha-coach license-you are so stupid man…Its hard to make players better and for that talent and knowledge is needed but for making formation with fully grown players you only need somewhat brain…

  • http://www.facebook.com/kelierdy Kaveh Elierdy

No Alvarez, Coutinho, Gargano ??? Strama come on man ….. Why?

    • http://www.facebook.com/lukas.jatmiko Lukas Jatmiko Sastro Setomo

Strama, find your balls and return it to your sack.. This is insane.. How we manage to score a goal with this formation?

      • Saf

This is not the final formation for sure… Calm down…

  • http://www.facebook.com/bellal.amerkhail Bellal Amerkhail

Hopefully we can win, if not hope this defeat will teach Strama to attempt attacking football…

    Handanovîc
    Rb: Zanetti-cb:Juan-rannochia-lb:pereira(nagatomo)

    cmf:gargano(guarin or cambiasso)
    Lmf:coutinho rmf: Alvarez
    Amf:sneijder (or cassano)

Ss and Cf: palacio and milito

    • inter_island

Are you even following Inter dude? wes and palacio are injury list.

      • http://www.facebook.com/bellal.amerkhail Bellal Amerkhail

I know I’m just saying for maybe an ideal formation but hey today’s win was good

        • chalon

Can’t have 1 cm alone to protect the defense, your formation is really unbalance, may work in PES and even then only if you play a default team.

          • http://www.facebook.com/bellal.amerkhail Bellal Amerkhail

Haha good point I do make that formation in PES and it does work for me on any difficulty and online :P

  • dipesh

why not use alvarez instead of guarin, and use 3-4-2-1, coutinho and cassano as playmakers and alvarez and cambiasso both center mids, with periera and zanetti wide

  • UNDERFACE

I see .. Zanetti to the right … place of Naga … and Alvarez to the middle .. place of Zanetti .. will be balanced attacking and def …

  • Fredy

    best formation now:
    Handanovic
    Zanetti-Juan-Rano-Pereira
    Alvarez-Cambi-Gargano
    Cou-Milito-Cassano
    3-3-4

    • Fredy

      or replace Pereira with Nagatomo

  • roni

    why samuel why????????

  • Kavex

    let coutinho play

  • ahmad

definitely, coutinho or alvarez should be in the starting lines up. both of them could help passing distribution. we have to show more brave. getting intimidated by a team like fiorentina is sucks. we even play with 4 defenders against barca. but anyway, lets hope it’s gonna be our fist home win. forza inter!

  • Ricky

I’d like to see Strama use a 4-4-1-1 Against Fiorentina
    GK:Handanovic

RB: Zanetti RCB: Ranocchia LCB: Juan LB: Nagatomo
RM: Coutinho RCM: Guarin LCM: Cambiasso LM: Pereira
    CF: Cassano
    ST: Milito

  • Kiro Coneski

And there’s Cambiasso again. Whyyy?? I mean, I like him, but he’s useless when we need to attack

  • interfan@asean

who will be the player to regulate the ball..?? not even deki who’s good at long ball is there, what will strama expecting in this formation..??
at least change cambiasso with gargano or if he want full defends with mudi

  • soroush

i think strama should choose 4-3-1-2…diamond style in mid. because this formation along these players is the best against normal oponent like every team in serie A except juve. They have a stronge squad.
    best line up:
    GK:Handa
    defence:zanetti,rana,chivu,periera
    mid:guarin,camb,gargano.coutinho
    forward:millito,cassano
i think its the best formation for this inter

    • inter_island

Chivu, Cambi out….. Juan, Alvarez in

  • http://www.facebook.com/loizos.ioakim Loizos Ioakim

    handa
    rano samuel juan
    guarin gargano
    javier pereira
    ricky coutinho
    cassano

    • http://www.facebook.com/loizos.ioakim Loizos Ioakim

i want cassano in front for the same reason barca doesnt use a real center forward because he can rotate with ricky and cout and destroy the enemy defence unlike milito who is lost during the game

  • jarx

in strama we trust, forza inter!!

  • inter_island

Well my Interista it’s do or die time for this so called Meazza curse with 3 straight serie a games we now have to play there. Why do I get the feeling Strama is trying not to lose rather than trying to win if you know what i mean. A turnaround from the Inter I saw at the end of last season when he took over. Hope we win though.
If we playing this 3 man defense then probably play 3-4-2-1 or pack the midfield 3-4-3 and take the game to the viola down the middle in a posession game to keep their wingers more centralized. Give Cout some freedom to move. Gargano and Guarin have to hold their positions to assist on the counter. If we can get to 2-0 (i hope) then he can revert to his defensive formation.
We really need some consistency in our lineup to help this group meld.FORZA INTER !!!

  • Havar

Do we have any midfielders capable of distributing the ball bar Sneijder?
Easy to say in hindsight, but Verratti would have been a nice acquisition.
    This will not be pretty.

  • 1908

No no no no no no no no no no
Stram y r u not playing the 4:2:4 y we conquer the world with that formation it simple and we go have all the players but one and he is known as FALCO yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes

Inshallah , but we need Gargano to start, Alvarez to play and Cassano behind Milito!

  • http://twitter.com/akhumaini aris khumaini

again ? cautinho will be on the bench ? give him a chance stram !!!
this season you dont want to loan him to other club, but why you still not give him a chance?
next season, i guarantee cautinho will be back to espanyol

  • Sami Merei

gargano is used to playing 3-5-2 formation with napoli! he showed he can excel at it against chievo, lets play 3-4-3 with coutinho, caassano and milito upfront, gargano , guarin zanneti and perieri in the midfield, and second half alvarez has to play, he helps distribute the ball, making our play more fluent!

  • Ognjen Dakic

    4-3-2-1 Handa-Nagatomo.Juan,Ranocchia,Zanetti-Cambiasso-Gargano,Guarin-Coutinho,Alvarez-Milito
3-5-2 Handa-Juan,Samuel,Ranocchia-Alvarez,Guarin,Gargano,Zanetti,Coutnho-Cassano,Milito (Cou and Alvarez wingers)
    4-2-3-1 Handa-Nagatomo.Juan,Ranocchia,Zanetti-Gargano,Guarin-Alvarez,Cassano,Coutinho-Milito

      OMG…. It’s like if I wrote it.

      • Ognjen Dakic

hahahaha…Of course mate. This is the best Inter formations in this moment and every fan who whatch inter playing knows that :D

        • inter_island

          Agreed.

  • oryza sativa

i want to know the news about chivu?where is he?will he on the bench tonight???

    nagatomo ecchi…

  • Interista

What the fuck? There is ZERO creativity in the midfield…

  • SYS

When you’re more worried about your team’s home games than their away ones, something’s seriously not right…

  • DonTuliosS Interista

    O M G!!!!!!!!!
    This man is a lunatic!!!
How can strama play 8 defencive players and only 2 ofensive players My GOD we are gonna lose big time!
He needs to go A.S.A.P. sack him please with so many good players that we have he uses again nagatomo on the wing and again pereira on the other side this is ridicuolous i mean we can see that we are not playing to win with this guy we are just playing to defend there is absoulutely no conection betwen our midfield wit the atackers we lack organisation,we allways skip our midfield when we are playing the ball from behing(from our defence)we constantlly use long balls to Milito and guess what we lose the ballo in an blink of an eye,and even if we manage to come close the oposite goal for some reason we pass the ball back again and nothing happens at all.
There is no taboo in meazza it’s just that we lack everything with verry good players that are capable of providing damage but we have the coach who is stupid.

  • alex

The reason i think inter lose home matches is bcuz they maybe feel the pressure of the inter fans… i dont know, maybe i sound little weird but thats what i think.

  • Zan

Coutinho and Gargano are starting. Pereira and Guarin on the bench

  • Jack

Off the bar. Milito could have had 2 goals in 2 minutes

  • http://www.facebook.com/loizos.ioakim Loizos Ioakim

coutinho is great so is cassano but what is milito losing for gods sake

  • original jack

the cheapest inter deals have been the best. juan jesus 5 million coutinho 3.8 million how about cassano, a gift of 7 million in addition to the explosive package. gosh inter without sneider play perfect. love the first half…

  • INTer

meazza taboo is over. bad luck for milito, so many chances wasted

  • Azzam

    Win…

  • Aleksi Kavasto

Great match! :) Milito should/could scored more! Forza Inter!

  • ahmad

a very first delighting win at the san siro. great play at first half. afterall, we have to play better than what shown in the second half. honestly, we played very very poor. we nearly couldnt do anything against 10 players. zanetti is absolutely out form. very weak and slow. maybe he just cant keep playing. cambiasso should have been replaced earlier by mudingayi. forza inter!

    • ahmad

another evidence that coutinho forms great set of offensive play with cassano. on the right flank our captain has to be benched sometimes. most of our attack come from the left flank which explain that strama may give nagatomo his role and pereira takes the left side.

  • KL

Great game by Cassano and Coutinho. Guarin was on the pitch for less than 10 mins and tried a shot from distance that was no where near, Strama needs to have a word and tell him to stop shooting. Sneijder injury could be a blessing if Cou starts every match.

  • Kitt

There’s too much Football manager/Championship manager here! Everyone desperately wants to post their formation on how Inter should play… It’s not like Strama will read this…. For me – If Inter win I don’t care about players or formations. 3 full backs works fine for me, as long as we win.

    • Kitt

      Center backs, I mean.

  • josh

Yo you guys what happened to Guarin? He went from hero to zero. In the last few matches he gets dispossessed so easily and whenever he holds the ball he shoot it way away from goal. Its pissing me off haha (seriously).

    • slim_blues_boy

and he always received a yellow, even when he only played for less than 15 minutes!

    • KL

That’s because he desperately wants to score a Stankovic like goal and it’s making him look selfish on the pitch

      • #4

        true

      • n1tefury

        Couldn’t agree more

  • Kaveh

We finally got a new identity in 3-4-1-2
Great game abit slower in the 2nd half but we controlled well, Juan is brilliant, coutinho is too quick just needs to timing his runs into the box, militi missed a few, overal 8/10 and forza fantantonio! Forza stramaccioni!

  • #4

nice game for Inter in the 1st half. too bad our player got exhausted in the 2nd half, FORZA INTER!!

  • http://twitter.com/Jura55icMahdi Mahdi Torabinejad

Zanetti’s shout of relief at the end showed how much this meant for us, finally this taboo should be over, hopefully Couti and Cassano have started on their way to leading us to the CL. This was a great game, still a long way to go, but done very well, hopefully Diego will have his shooting boots back on soon and with this midfield, we can crush Bilan! FORZA INTER!

  • ade

Handanovic is a monster as a goalkeeper. He is very quiet, so there is not much noise about him. The only goals he has conceded are goals he can’t do nothing about. I was shocked he attempted to save Fiorentina’s goal. I was thinking is this guy human, and considering how tall and agile he is. It is unbelievable. No one remembers Julio simply because Handanovic has been excellent. i can easily say he is the best in Italy (No rivalry). Coutinho is a monster, i think we can sell Sneider next season and let coutinho pull the strings. if i was inter i would extend his deal to 2016. We have missed Palacio alot, if he was playing in place of Milito. He would score at least one of those goals. I was a big critic we got him for 11 million but i have so much fallen in love with the way he plays. Inter’s front three should be Palacio Cassano and coutinho. Juan “The beast” Jesus. He already plays like he is 28 or a veteran. he can definitely improve on his positioning, other than that he was excellent. Ranocchia is a monster now, even though slower but his positional play, and his ability to read the next move has improved lots. Thanks to Stramaccioni. We may not win but Inter is sure of a top three finish. If we can get Llorente as rumors have been swirling around. Inter would be unbeatable. Overall inter played well but most of the players were tired in the second half. Montella is a good coach, and fironetina’s team look very good.

    • David Mars Nestor

Agree with you 99% expect that i miss julio. I will miss his wierd hat, his excitements, his wierd celebrations. Hando is better but he looks too much like Robocop

  • Ben

I still disagree that Coutinho should start every game. He faded badly in the second half and his flashiness, while easy and pleasing to spot when it works, is still unrefined. People calling to play him over Sneijder can’t tell class when they see it. Don’t get me wrong, I hope Coutinho will be a force at inter for years to come, but Sneijder, on his day, is a world-conquering titan.

I’d also like to point out that these formations are published in La Gazzetta well before each game and are based largely on guesswork and probability. People should think before criticising our manager on a team he didn’t even field….

    • ade

Sneijder is world class but we are playing better without him, and apparently not missing him. I know coutinho faded badly but lots if the players were real tired. He played in Sneijder’s position and he deputised well enough. If sneijder was playing i would think it is a 3-5-2 and the middle was crowded. Coutinho playing seemed like a 3-4-3 and the pace was fast our counters were deadly and also we had more chances. If milito was prolific first half would have ended 3-1 or 4-1

      • Ben

True, but I don’t think we are playing him properly. I think he performs a lot better when his passing is used to target someone with pace. Before he had Eto’o and I believe he will play a lot better when Palacio is fit again.

I also think that if we sell him, our star player, we start looking more like a selling club. Suddenly, we have some famous old players and talented youngsters. What happens when Coutinho wants to move on in a couple of years? Or any other of our youth squad guys, for that matter? Sure, we could make some good money from them, but not enough to buy a superstar player. Having a name like Sneijder in the team is a big thing for a budding midfielder who wants to up their game. We want to give them a reason to stay. Sure, play Coutinho, but make him compete with Sneijder for the place, rather than handing it to him on a plate.

    • Martin

The problem is that Sneijder hasn’t had that “good day” since the Treble season.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003190230278 Gema Alfa Putra

man, i hope you guys be more patient. Even a position predict can make you be so angry. It’s not from Strama. It’s newspaper prediction. You gotta to be calm down. Lets support Inter with good attitude. Strama know what he’s doing.

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

      THUMBS UP!

  • qwerty

sell sneijder next year, and promote primaveras like Bessa, Romano, Crisetig and of course Coutinho will lead the younger inter. From Sneijder’s money, use to lure top striker like Falcao, and bring another world class defender, and we will be ready to step up our game. And somebody, please tell Guarin to stop shooting like a shits. He should talk and learn from Stankovic on how to shoot properly. Guarin is just wasting so many passes and shoots. Overall great match, especially the first half.

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

meanwhile, in the parallel universe where everything is purrfectt..

  • NerazzurriForever

Anyone else think Cambiasso’s dummy was sick? Fooled everyone to leave FantAntonio wide open!

  • Interist1

    No Wes..No problem..

  • Il Principe

Juan Jesus is showing he is a quality player, what a beast! I just wish Guarin would either learn how to shoot or look for the pass, he’s wasting a lot of good chances on the counter.

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

After that solo goal, Guarin thinks he is now the new Messi.

  • dipesh

second half livaja should have played it, why did we need guarin to come on, and milito needs rest he has played in every match

  • fandibong

any chance of uploading highlight? or even better full match?

  • Jarx

Where is michael?? I visit this website like every minute but in the past 3 weeks there is very little inter news update :(
