Wesley Sneijder has just left Angelo Moratti sports center in Appiano Gentile without having any tests on the injured leg. For him, these tests will only come at a later date. As reported by Sky, according to the feelings of the player, it could be a severe contusion and not a strain. If it was just a bruise, Sneijder will miss the game against Fiorentina and Neftci as a precaution but should be back on October 7 in the Milan derby. However, a strain would keep him out even against Milan.

For Rodrigo Palacio, there is optimism that he could start on the bench against Fiorentina but we are still waiting for more tests.

Tbh with all the attacking midfielders we have I think we could sell Sneijder this winter if a good offer comes, we have Alvarez Coutinho and cassano to fill in

    • Styles

Agreed. Lets give Ricky & Phillipe a chance to shine in a 4-2-3-1

  • http://www.facebook.com/sandro.mehic.7 Sandro Mehić

Sell Sneijder and get Falcao.. We need him to fill our nr.9 shirt..

    • http://www.facebook.com/patar.hatigoran Patar Ronnie Hatigoran

How long you’ve been Inter fan…?? Did you see any better player as AMF than Sneijder…?? Please dont say Cou, he’s a winger and please dont say Alvarez, he’s nowhere near Sneijder in playmaking…

    • http://twitter.com/Irfan_itsfun M. Irfan Faisal

I don’t think Atletico would sell Falcao, and i really don’t think Falcao would move to Italy, at least for this two years…
about Sneijder, he’s our best and only playmaker that can make difference.. remember when we play without playmaker, i really don’t want Inter to be an old Inter that rarely got trophies… thanks god if Alvarez can be as good as him this season, but i’m not sure about this…Sneijder only needs a time, and a right place with a right role… While Strama’s still experimenting tactic, I think sneijder can’t give his 100%…

  • neroblue

Coutinho has got to be given minutes with Sneijder’s injury. Inter can now switch to a 4-3-3, Handa- Zanetti, Rana, Juan, Pereira- Cambiasso, Garagano, Coutinho- Palacio, Milito, Cassano. I also hope for Livaja to be a super-sub for Milito in these next few matches. At this point I think Inter would do well to try and swap Sneijder for Nani this winter, we really need a winger with pace, out team is way too slow. That and if we pick up a regista we’ll look a lot better than we do right now.

  • http://www.facebook.com/ahmed.h.sultan.37 Ahmed Haider Sultan

what the hell is going on with this, “we have to sell sneijder”. SNEIJDER IS ESSENTIAL to our project and he is an incredible player, what we need is another world class midfielder!!!!

  • marco

sneijder is a to one dimensional player anyway. he has low, very low workrate cant defend for shit. his freekicks are no threat anymore. it is from time of the trebel season that he played up to his potential… sad truth is he is not half as effective most people like to think.

then there are still his wage; highest payed player in serie a. so yea, im totally in favor of shipping him out and getting a milito replacement and/or regista. his wages are totally unacceptable. he doesnt bring anything of value to table so he gots to go really

    • kevinches

      i agree 100%

    • http://www.facebook.com/wilsonkeneshiro Wilson Keneshiro

im sorry bro, i dont agree

    • http://www.facebook.com/patar.hatigoran Patar Ronnie Hatigoran

He is no shit as long as he play 100% playmaker role, once again 100% playmaker role, no playing out wide, no playing from deep, and no intercept by other players who capable playmaking like Alvarez or Cou… He only got that chance in Mou and Leonardo formation…

He’s shit when played together with Cou and Avarez where all these three try to take that one playmaking role, he is shit when played behind milito as 2nd striker, he is shit when played out wide…

Look, he’s no shit in Dutch shirt…

      • slim_blues_boy

totally agree. when Sneijder plays not in his best position & role, he is big liability.
but when he play on right circumstances, he is excellent, one of the best midfield in the world.

      • dipesh

he was great when playing with alvarez, last year but alvarez needs to play deep he needs to be converted to a regista and he will be brutal his best passing is his crosses so he would be perfect as a regista in our new formation 3-4-2-1 and sneijder and coutinho playing behind milito i say coutinho rather then cassano because cassano is either on the left or centre but coutinho potentially could play both left wing and right wing so it will give sneijder more freedom in the middle as the chief playmaker

    • http://twitter.com/adit_chandra Adit

Agreed. With those wage, inter can get better player in terms of injury prone/physical fitness. I mean if I play in FIFA/FM I always cash him in even though he’s one of the best players in the squad. Because I know he will be liability at some point EVERY season. But then again he’s interista… hard to find loyal players these days. it’s tough decision. haha. Easier if he can lower his wage.

  • Ossi

Ricky and Cou ride on !!!

  • Ben

you are all forgetting, of course, that neither ricky nor phillipe are as good as sneijder. maybe combined they might be close, but then thats 2/10 outfield places taken up automatically. we don’t do very well without him, as we saw when he was injured last year. not to mention the amount of revenue a big player like that brings to the club in things like ‘sneijder’ shirt sales etc.

a fool would let him go now….

    • kevinches

u seem to have forgotten the winning streak inter went on without sneijder when ranieri took charge of inter and the slump they went through when he came back from injury.

      • Ognjen Dakic

That winning streak was coincidence- in half of those games we were egal or worst than our opponents…

    • interman

maybe not ricky or coutinho but surely cassano. cassano is probably better.

  • http://www.facebook.com/wilsonkeneshiro Wilson Keneshiro

No, Please stay and keep Sneijder. We must have world class midfielder like Sneijder. Last season and this season he could be not finding his best, but we should not threat him like that. He is still important player. It is actually strama tactics not really good having just one striker in the up front, and lacking of AM players. As I have said many times, we need 3 AM (attacking midfielders) and 1 striker to make the game a win. If Strama can put Sneijder-Palacio/Coutinho-Cassano as AM, then Milito as target man, then we should collect a bunch of goals. No fear at San siro too! I hope this can be read by Strama. We cannot always use 1 AM and 1 striker and having too many DM players. DM (defensive mid) players should only 2. Forza inter.

  • http://www.facebook.com/wilsonkeneshiro Wilson Keneshiro

4-2-3-1 or 3-3-3-1 is the ideal for inter. Always have the attacking formation up front 3-1, means 3 AM and 1 central forward. If we use 4-2-3-1, the wing back e.g. Nagatomo or zanetti/jonathan do not need to always running the ball up to help attacking, NO NEED, as we already have 3 attacking midfielders that will enter the opponent zone very very often. The current situation if we use 4 defenders, the wing back ALWAYS ALWAYS helping to run the ball up front to help attacking, and these causing opponent teams to press with counter attack and then we lose again and again. This has been happening so much often. I hope this again can be read by strama. Forza inter.

  • ote

Maybe it’s time for a new era. Alvarez coutinho and then Bessa next year.

  • Havar

Well Strama has no idea how to properly utilize Sneijder anyway, so perhaps a rest will do him well. It’s a shame because he is far and away the player with the most quality in our squad, and perhaps of the entire Serie A as well. If only we played to his strengths, we’d certainly be far more efficient transferring into attack.
Hopefully one of Coutinho or Alvarez will take their opportunity, but most likely Strama will introduce Gargano or another DM.

  • Chainsaw69

It’s been for two years that I rather think Sneijder doesn’t exist. Sneijder and Milito both need to be replaced for the next season. Half arsed performances plus so many injuries is not what you pay for your highest paid players in your squad. Same story goes to Stankovic and Chivu. I see Coutinho and Alvarez more than capable of replacing him and even doing better than him in the line-up.

    • Cyclone99

      Wow Chainsaw69 you are back!?!
I like it when some one mention Milito to be replaced; its not like I dont like him but I think his past time. Stankovic especialy has to go.

  • http://www.facebook.com/patar.hatigoran Patar Ronnie Hatigoran

The one who say “sell Sneijder” is really dont know anything about Inter, moreover who say Alvarez is a better player as AMF… Talk to my hand…!!! And please, Cou is a winger for God sake…

    • http://twitter.com/Irfan_itsfun M. Irfan Faisal

      Second that…

  • slim_blues_boy

Sneijder is excellent player, but only when the coach know how to ‘use’ him properly. when he plays in wrong position or role, well, he is big liability for the team. generally, Sneijder should plays in the center so he can build something and release his killer pass.
and so far, only Mr. Mou who can ‘use’ Sneijder in maximum way. I can’t see Strama know how to ‘use’ Sneijder properly.

so, Sneijder injury might be bad. but, maybe we can get something good behind this situation. maybe we can see more balanced INTER. I hope so.

  • http://www.facebook.com/loizos.ioakim Loizos Ioakim

    for fiorentina
    handanovic
    rano samuel juan
    nagatomo guarin gargano pereira
    ricky coutinho
cassano and second half around 65-70 palacio

i know most of you will disagree but i believe the three man defence with these players gives us more stability and i chose cassano instead of milito bcz we can all see that milito is nowhere to be found in recent games and also bcz if we try to play with ricky cout and cassano they can change positions bring more creativity whith short passes not stubit crosses and create spaces in enemy defences with ease.AND the most serius reason is because those three can create space for their selfs and shoot ON TARGET outside of the box unlike some others FORZA INTER!!!!
