The signing of Patrick Olsen was revealed last week. He is a Danish midfielder and one of the jewels of international football at youth level. Apprached by many top clubs from German and England, the midfielder chooses the Nerazzurri “because it is one of the best to work with young players.” In an interview with FC Inter News, Michael Bolvig, agent, talks more about the situation and Olsen as a player.
Bolvig, what kind of player is Patrick?
“He began playing as a striker then as a trequartista and now he is a defensive midfielder.”
To whom would you compare him to?
“To Pirlo for his technical skills and to Cambiasso for his physicality. These are the characteristics of Patrick.”
Other than Inter, who else was interested in him?
“Two German and two English clubs. Olsen was the star in the U-17 Euro and there, many teams took notice of him.”
What type of contract has he signed with Inter?
“A three-year deal. He could have signed a five-year deal but we preferred the contract like this.”
Where is Olsen now?
“In Italy, in Interello. He is training and getting familiar with the Italian language. He lives with others but soon we’ll decide whether to buy him a house here. At Inter, he will have more important chances to compete in sporting context than at Brondby.”
Do you feel the need to thank someone at Inter?
“Yes, I do but I prefer not to name names.”
