Moratti to try for Floccari and negotiates with Lotito.
The hunt for the vice-Milito: Inter offer 700 thousand euros to Lazio for the loan. Alternative is Kozak.
Milan – Tommaso has pulled out of the race, Sergio has said no to Bologna in order to offer himself to Inter. Tommaso is Rocchi who says that “I love Lazio too much, I am staying here.” Sergio is Floccari and now it is up to Moratti and Lotito to find a solution because Inter have always thought about spending nothing to just a very minimal fee for the vice-Milito. The Lazio president has in his hands a 4.5 million offer from Guaraldi (Bologna president) and give it up completely would be very difficult. Morale: it is not done and it is not easy.
Question of euro There is nothing established yet but something could certainly happen like a year ago where Inter closed the deal with Lazio on August 31, 2011 for Mauro Zarate. Today, it could be Sergio Floccari. However, from Lazio’s point of view, it is not too optimistic. Inter are looking for a player’s profile that matches exactly like that of Floccari, but the idea is to spend zero to a very minimal amount for this player. This is something that Lotito (Lazio president) does not want to hear. Today is the final day and so of course it will be decisive. The key to open this locked doors could be a proposal of a loan with right to purchase and both parties will need to determine who much the loan is worth.
Offer and request The starting offer from Inter in negotiations which begun last night is far from the request of Lazio. Lotito has already formalized a loan with right to purchase with Bologna at 2.5 million up front while Inter have only offered 700 thousand euros for the player who will be 31 years old in November. They will continue to talk and anything is possible. Last night a new hypothesis was born with Kozak saying farewell to the Lazio fans after the Europa League game against Mura.
In house alternative One thing is certain: it would not be a tragedy if a vice-Milito doesn’t come. Because harmony is important in the attack. Right now the amount of players is considered to be right and in case if Floccari does not arrive Rodrigo Palacio would be the first choice and Marko Livaja would be the second. The former Genoa player would of course start from 1st minute whereas the Croatian would enter during the course of the game. Massimo Moratti yesterday said, “They (the press) claim we’re looking at all sorts of players, that we need a back-up for Milito. If something interesting comes up, we’ll see, if not things are fine as they are. What irritates me? Our new faces who I’ve not yet seen in action!” The Inter boss does not give his references but it is obvious that he trusts his transfer market men and the coach, all of which have identified Floccari’s characteristics to fill the void that the team has.
