Goodbye Maicon, Brazilian To Manchester City For Four Million

Everything is done. Manchester City have signed Douglas Maicon who is now going to play for his former coach in Roberto Mancini. This was revealed by Sky Sport 24 stating that the player has already said goodbye to his teammates and the coach at Pinetina. For the Brazilian, a four-year contract is ready (very important for a 31 year-old) and for Inter, four million in cash immediately plus bonuses that are linked to appearances and goals. It is likely that these bonuses are very easy to reach.

    Terribly sad news to wake up to…right when we all had our hopes up of seeing him stay another year or two. For only 4M…one of the best in the world…for 4M… okay, 6M wtf is the difference. And that 4M is going to pay for JC’s contract termination… -__-

    Such famous drive and character, such awesome ability.
    Wish them the best, and just hope they won’t be forgotten in the EPL after a year…just because they will never be forgotten, no matter how many years, for us Interisti.

            with tons of respect for Maicon; I think the management is right this time. The high wages, the age, the passion just wasn’t there anymore. But still I wish Maicon all the best of luck in EPL, he will be remembered as one of the Inter legends (to me at least).

    4 million… I can’t believe it! Why did you sell him for that kind of money?! It’s Il Colosso we are talking about!! Everyone asks for a lot of money when we want to buy players. But when one of our players leaves he’s sold for peanuts or his contract gets terminatet…

    $4 million plus the bonuses isn’t that bad especially when you consider the wages. He’s a great offensive minded defender, but we already have 3 of those (Nagatomo, Jonathan and Pereira). We can achieve our season goals without Maicon.
