When it’s over, it’s over. Julio Cesar will not have his chance to say his final farewell to the Inter fans at the stadium this Sunday before playing against Roma. To confirm this is his wife, Susana Werner on Twitter.

“No guys, Julio will not be at the stadium on Sunday to say goodbye… I dislike this very much! Don’t ask me why. Kisses and see you soon.”

    W T F.
I REALLY hope this isn’t the decision from the management, and hope she is wrong…
hell no, we don’t treat our champions like that. Thats not Inter’s way…
    F THAT.
All I know is he better be at the stadium or I better see him with the fans and players one last time as an official goodbye…

Dislike what? That he is being forced out or that he can’t be there on Sunday?

This is what Julio said earlier today.
“I’ll terminate my contract with Inter and thank President Massimo Moratti for the seven wonderful years we have had together. I’ll ask him to let me go on the pitch before the match between Inter and Roma this weekend so I can give a collective hug to all the fans.”
So clearly Julio wants to say goodbye to Inter fans. But then who is it that bars him from doing so?

I think its hi-time we nerazzuri fans start seeing Internazionale as a business. Has any player has that send off when they are been sold. Eto whom the fans where very fond of wrote a letter. Julio should simply write a letter thats all thats needed. The brazillian are been chased away simply because they were not willing to take a pay cut. So they are there for the money. Inter needed to cut wages from a whooping 150 million euros yearly. When inter had problems in the Past Recoba, took a pay cut Vieri did so also ronaldo. Until Zanetti renewed a while back he was earning around 2 million a year. Look Inter is a business here to make Money. Buffon took a paycut from 6 to 3.5 million at juve. Julio earns 9 million yearly and it was requested for him to drop it to 5 like chivu did. he said a big no. Inter calculated 9 million yearly for Julio who was an absentee landlord since 2011 season. its better thy add 2 million and get handanovic we can use for th enext 6 years at 3.4 million yearly. Julio did a great job at inter but he aint no Zannetti, and not ready to take a paycut then you have to go. Julio Thanks but Keep it Moving.

So what is your point? Not letting Julio give a farewell is a part of good business? When you end contracts and part ways, it’s a good farewell not to turn back for a final salute or anything? Good business is also about relationships, especially for a club like Inter that have maintained close relationships with their past legends. Perhaps you don’t mean this, but it sounds so. And mind you, very few here says it’s totally wrong to let Julio go. There are some fans who are still frustrated here, but now they mostly admit it was necessary. You don’t have to explain to us in multiple posts how much Inter could save on Julio cause we all know.

By the way, I reckon that nothing is clear about this situation at the moment. So I will just wait and see. Also, Et’o did so much for us, but he stayed two years while Julio stayed 7 years with us. I don’t think we can stay he wants too much for asking that last chance of farewell.

Well i understand you dong lee. I didn’t know you were reading our financial situation but in anyways. its fine if julio demands a farewell but the way susanna is going about it is not so nice. its like throwing the club under the bus. he should have made the request in private not on twitter, interviews and any news outlet. Same susana posted a pic of a clown and called it MB ( Marco Branca). Yes Julio is a legend but the way susanna is going about things makes it easy for inter to deny julio is farewell. Personally i still think he is not entitled to it. As a business owner the day i know my employee is there totally for the money. That day i tell him to keep it moving.

You don’t know his situation, he prolly has payments to make. Lol.

i guess cesar went in search of first-team football instead of being a substitute to handanovic like castellazi. look at castellazi, 38 years old already he has yet to be called-up for the national italy team because he’s not playing regularly. cesar didnt want to be like him, so he forced a move to a new club where he feels honoured, important and also being able to play regularly in order to make it for the brazil national team and be first choice for brazil. the least we could say is that he didnt join a rival club like juve or ac. anyway grazie julious u will always remain the icon in our heart. Buona fortuna cesar!

Well, Susanna admitted that nothing is certain at this point. In her recent twitter post, she says it will only be clear when Julio gets back from London, which means it is not even certain whether the club even responded to Julio’s requests. So let’s just wait.
