Julio Cesar has consistently been one of the best players at Inter for the past few years. Arguably, the best keeper in the world on his day, Julio played a pivotal role in Inter’s treble triumph. Having joined Inter from Chievo in 2005, Julio soon became first choice keeper after some promising performances. By 2010, he was undoubtedly one of the best keepers in the game making reaction save after save. Not only was he quick with his hands, but he was also quick on his feet. Being Brazilian, his natural talents shone through in various games where he would dribble with the ball when other keepers would quickly boot it away. This almost became a trademark of the Inter keeper and it reassured the fans knowing we had a confident keeper between the posts. Who can forget his amazing double saves when he would pull of 2 or even 3 beautiful diving saves in a row to leave the opposition’s strikers scratching their heads. A certain Cristiano Ronaldo was left stunned after Julio pulled off one of his best performances against an attacking Manchester United at the Meazza during the Champions League Round of 16. Moreover, Julio not only did his talking on the pitch, but he was an amazing individual as well. A comical man with a wry sense of humor, he is always ready to have a good laugh during training. Everything was going great for Julio.

Then, something caught up with him. Something that no player can avoid (although Zanetti is trying to), age. As he passed into his 30’s, Julio’s quick hands slowed and his feet gradual gave way as well. By the 2011/2012 season, Julio was a shadow of his former self and had even been dropped from the Brazilian National team. Criticism rained down on him, even from Inter supporters and he was treated horribly. In 2012, Inter have shown very little respect for all he has done. Without notice, we signed a very talented keeper in Handanovic and assigned him Julio’s number 1 jersey. A distraught Julio was left to pick up his things and was almost released in a terrible manner. However, now it seems that Julio is on the verge to move to the Premier League. At first it appeared as if Tottenham would secure his signature but that never completely materialized. Now it has recently been suggested that Julio is very close to QPR, of all clubs. A great in football has been treated poorly and now he goes to pastures a new in hopes to rekindle his form. Wherever he goes though, thank you Julio, for everything you have done and Interisti from everywhere hope you have success wherever you play!

my sympathy also to Julio…………….I also don’t know what really happened……was it just his aging career or simply his wages ???????????………….as an outsider, I noticed only due to his wages and age, but who knows if there is in fact an internal dispute that caused management dislike toward him
whatever it is, his dedication over the past years provided great success to Inter
I remembered that during the last match against Milan, when he was preparing for a penalty shoot by Ibra, he made a challenging gesture toward Ibra before the kick……that was amazing and I kind of liked it
    Good Luck Julio

Hey Michael… not sure what went wrong, but, after a fellow Interista complained about the mobile site 2 days back, you probably tried to do something and I started seeing this on every page on the site!

Forgot to add.. I’ve used every browser there is for my Galaxy 7.7 tab with the same result!

Thank you for your efforts man.. you honestly don’t know how much we appreciate it :-)

That’s for the mobile site? Weird.

It could well be an incompatibility thing.. Maybe you should try and switch off the mobile module altogether and see what happens.

To be honest I don’t know what’s wrong. I didn’t really do anything with the mobile site since last week when someone complained about the pictures.

Try to clear the cache of the browser or something.

Yea man, it was perfect before that person complained lol

    Life is not fair.

Julio Cesar was considered at one point to be the best goalie in the world. I’m proud to had have such a great player on Inter

I’M GONNA SAY THIS ONCE, GARATH BALE DESTROYED HIS CONFIDENCE AND HE HAS NEVER BEEN THE THE SAME SAME SINCE… ever since that game Julio has barely dived for some shots and looks nothing like the european keeper of the year from 2010! Its a real shame because i dont think INTER we’re done with him and i really expected his departure to be in about 2016!!! I wish him all the best but in the last year and a half he has been horribble for us and he barely dives for half the shots made by opposition players anymore! HE REALLY WAS THE WORLD’S BEST KEEPER 2 YEARS AGO AND I’LL NEVER FORGET HIM… HIS PENO SAVE IN THE DERBY AGAINST RONALDINHO SAYS IT ALL… Toldo was a great but Julio was special so we were lucky to have him and lets hope Handanovic fills his gloves!

I am not worthy to ‘thank’ him after seeing the way Inter have treated him. Very sorry, and please forgive us. For me, you are still the best goalkeeper in the world. Madrid may have their Casillas, Bayern may have their Neuer but you will always remain above them all, enjoying the view from the top.
    *RESPECT*

Michael do you think we will sign anyone else? i’m really happy with our transfers and think we need to sell a few to keep the group together and happy!

  • Julian

This is off topic, but I wasn’t sure where to ask, but does anyone know where I can watch the games online? I just realized that ESPN3 no longer will be showing Serie A games in the US and the new provider, BEin Sports, has not been added to my tv lineup yet. Thanks for the help everyone

Look, we still read the news while Stramaccioni, Moratti, Zanetti, or anyone else talkin about Maicon and Lucio future before they left, but for Cesar they just like keep silent like they don’t care, or they just don’t want to make it harder because emotion factor. Julione really treated like outsider inside the team, no humanity, never like family… Since this case were weird, i really don’t believe that was because wage, age, or performance, not that simple…

Can you imagine, the management handed no.1 to handanovic without his approval while julio still an Inter player and nothing he can do to defend his right…???
Even though i am just a fan and someone who believe we’re a big family, i can’t accept treatment like this… Inter can’t throw they player like trash while they feel don’t need him anymore moreover if we look to what have he done to Inter…

I really wanna hear his statement, a surprise one when he complete his move…

I love Inter, but not include this kind of thing…
