Sky: Emotional Scene On The Bench Between Maicon And Teammates

It was an emotional evening in Locerno Switzerland where the friendly game between CA Bizertin and Inter took place.  This game could be the last chance to see Maicon in action wearing the Inter shirt.

After a superb ball from the right side, the Brazilian turned to Stramaccioni smiling as if he wanted to ask “did you like?”  In return, Stramaccioni smiled back showing that the feeling is there.  And not only that at the moment of his substitution, Maicon gave Jonathan a big hug and then greeted the entire bench “with great emotion” according to Sky.

The future of Maicon is in balance.  Next week, everything will be decided.

    Hope he stays. He is honestly not that old and if he stays healthy all year he could definitely make a difference and possibly be one of the best right backs in the world.

    He can still play, cafu played intill 37.. so why not just keep him. theres no one better, we can only get weaker on that place.. Jonathan is not even near Maicon!

    Ahhhh :( I hope he doesn’t go. I really wish that he would take a pay cut and stay, for me, he can still play for 2-3 years AT LEAST top level. Jonathan hasn’t done it for me. Gosh today I remembered how awesome a force Il Colosso is. Resta con noiiiii

    As one of the few here, i actually hope he leaves. One decent display against a piece of shit Tusenian team doesn´t prove anything. Hope Pereira will come, he could play on the left with Il Capitano on the right. Maicon, sadly, doesn´t have the grinta anymore which he used to have. If he leaves, thanks for all and all the best at your next club.

      Maicon at times last year looked lazy and out of position as much as I love him but if STrama can get the best out of him then that’s different

      The reason why he flop last season is he doesn’t get the motivation he used to have when Mourinho in Inter, and our previous Coach can’t lift Inter players morale…… Strama is not Mou, but he can boost Inter players motivation and morale… I think he can give his best form again…
      I hope he stays, and ends his career here…

    maicon is brilliant but i think he will leave. pereira and gargano will come in next fewdays + lennon or dos santos.maybe no fernando. this is what we get for this coming season mix young + experience players. thats what moratti, branca and stramacioni plan it. for me just good squad no brilliant. but let see what strama can prove to us this coming season.

    here is why i dont like maicon leaving:
    in order to build on our clubs history, and raise our status in upcoming players eyes, we need to make sure more players retire in our shirt.. ofcourse we have to be very selective on this matter because it will effect our budget.. but players like maicon (who is considered to be one of the best ever at his position) is essential to keep in our colors.. imagine how many brazilian defenders that will look at inter as a great destination just because their beloved maicon played there… just look at guarin and how he wanted inter because of cordoba..
    anyways sorry to take your time..
    i will miss you douglas
