POST-AGREEMENT

The new stadium of Inter will be in the future strategic plans for international expansion of CRCC.

Within a month, the transition of the Chinese investor group to become minority shareholder will be completed.  The financial guarantees have already arrived on the table of the club in Corso Vittorio Emanuele.  Then in October, there will be three new additions to the board of directors in Kamchi Li, Kenneth Huang and Fabrizio Rindi.  At that point, the fun part will start: the beginning of the process to build the new stadium.  This partnership with China Railway Construction Corporation is formally limited to only this project but everything is connected.  Since this is a buisnies owned by the Goverment of the People’s Republic, CRCC has denied involvement in purchasing the shares of Inter (15% destined to increase to 40%).  Exposing themselves like that would not be appropriate.

Project Used to build highways and railroads, China Railway – 59 billion euros in sales – now aims at sports buildings.  The new home of Inter is the company’s card for further investment in the Western market.  A building of about 55-60 thousand people with all the things of a modern stadium, an investment of 250-300 million.  Location?  San Donato Milanese is one of the hypotheses like the Expo era and other areas in Milan.  They must deal with the municipalities and find the ideal solution.

I hope its 60k capacity with the option to increase stadium capacity through extensions in future. You don’t want to be stuck with a juBe type problem – too few seats and too many fans down the line.

But 65k should be an ideal capacity I think as we would struggle to get more people in than that. Although better facilities and viewing could possibly mean more fans want to visit the Stadio Facchetti in future :)

Juve stadium is 40k. That’s why their fans are bitching about it. 60k is great.

It will be Giacinto Facchetti, most probably. If they don’t sell it. Then it might be the name of the sponsor, which is fine by me, as long as they build it.

They can name part of the stands “Giacinto Facchetti”
