Lucas Saga Continues: Branca To Brazil To Negotiate With Sao Paulo

Inter are not letting him go even for one centimeter.  If there’s still hope, Massimo Moratti and company will continue trying.  Despite strong competition from Manchester United and the latest interest from Manchester City, Lucas remains the very first transfer target at Inter, who has not stopped dreaming.  According to the Gazzetta dello Sport in newsstand tomorrow (I will update this post again with more information when I have my hands on the paper), Marco Branca will fly to Brazil to start negotiation evidently with Sao Paulo because his agent Wagner Ribeiro and family are in England to watch Lucas with the Brazilian national team.

An important step forward by Inter, the club that wants to reopen talk with president Juvencio after talking with Lucas’ father and agent.  After the Olympics, Inter will attack with the official offer.  But now it is time to convince Sao Paulo.

      lool i know, and italian clubs wonder why they are always in red, they unnecessarily spend ridicolous amounts of money on overpriced players. lucas;35m is stupid if we pay that. we could get gomez,fernanado and kolarov for that but knowing branca who paid 18m for pazzini will give sao paulo 40m. ridicolous, i bet insigne is better than lucas.

      Actually he has a great talent… but he’s not worth that much… i think his price no more than 23 mil euro..

    Moratti is being delusional. Look at Lucas He is a effin subsitute on a Brazil national team, and not even the senior one. Sao Paolo didnt want to sell him for less than 30 Million.

    So Mr.President how about we forget about this boy and try to bring a Midfielder like Sahin, a Wing/Fullback like Kolarov and Debuchy, and another attacking midfielder also a striker if Pazzo leave.

    so instead of spending 30 Million on one player we’ll get 3 or 4 player that would add a major boost to our squad depth.

        I agree that we’ve got awesome youth products.. but i think, we still need some players (1 trequartista, 1 striker and 1 cb) to strengthen our squad… this season, we have a tough season…

    Instead of dropping 30 million plus on Lucas, lets get three players that will turn things around at Inter for years. The players are Patrick Hermann, Tony Jantschke, and Fernando. Fernando would be the most expensive of the lot, but he’s a take no prisoners defensive mid. Patrick Hermann is the kind of player that attacks with the best of them and doesn’t mind tracking back on defense, Strama would love this guy. Jantschke is a full back that is a real fire cracker on the right side. Inter can play the most attractive football in Italy with these signings.

    Chelsea bought Oscar for 25 Million Euro, and Oscar is better than Lucas and a starter in Brazil team, so why the heck our management so fucking in love with this Lucas guy and throw money that more than his value? I’ve been watching his real game and he is not too good do not use Youtube to scout this guy! This ain’t a FM Game though..

    Cmon.. use that money to bring qualities to cover our weaknesses. We’re good with this squad, but we need more qualities players if we’d be better to have a good plan to assault Juve and Milan this year. One good defender is really needed, Musacchio, Andreolli or Astori. Pick one of them to bring more defensive quality in our most weak line in case Samuel is injured, it would be a disaster if Chivu and Ranocchia are playing together. For less than 8 Million Euro we can get a decent center back to cover Samuel’s ass.
    Next, buy a decent fullback in case Maicon has decided to move. I still believe that he is one of the best fullback today, yet his hefty wage killing us. Kolarov would be a great additional fullback, we can revert Zanetti back to his natural position as Right Back and Mbaye will be his successor for next years. Kolarov will cover the left flank and he will link with Coutinho successfully. Kolarov is availabe for sale and we can get him for 10 Million Euro or more.
    And then buy a right winger or attacker in case Pazzini is leaving. Milito is a world class striker, no doubt about that. But he is 33 years old and more injury prone than ever. We really need to concentrate this area because when Milito was absent last year we were doomed and slumped like toothless tiger. Take a look at Alejandro Gomez from Catania, he will cost us less than 10 Million Euro but he is so versatile with different attacking positions. He can play as good right winger and also a second striker. He is fast, quick, natural dribble, good with both feet, and he is an Argentinian and much cheaper than Lucas or Ramirez! He will link really well with Milito and Palacio. With this trio we will be able to play Mourinho’s winning 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 formation again also with a good balance at the back and deadly at the front. And that’s all we need now, Fernando or Sahin will be an amazing reinforcements for the next winter transfer session. But we don’t really need them now, but we will need them to add some depth and qualities in the next winter transfer market we can surely get one of them without breaking our bank.

    Those transfers will cost us less than a single Lucas transfer saga, and Inter will be a great squad to challenge Scudetto, Coppa Italia and UEFA league trophy. Bring these guys:
    Defender: Musacchio/Andreolli/Davide Astori = at most 8 Million Euro
    Fullback: Kolarov = 10 – 12 Million Euro
    Winger/Second Striker = Alejandro Gomez Less Than 10 Million Euro

    for the 30-35m we could get Dzeko and Kolarov. Then if we sell JC-Casta(already sold – but why?!)-Deki-Pazzo we could get Ramirez, or a decend central midfielder + Alejandro Gomez for example. its hard to do the math because we have no clue how much resource available for our team in this transfer window. but we definetly need a CB, a RB/LB, a DM/CM, a winger, and a striker. and i think Strama knows it aswell, yet, we are going for Lucas, who hasnt proved a thing so far…

      Remember wages man.. Moratti has decided to sell our important players because of their hefty wages. Dzeko is taking a hefty wage at Man city, and Inter will not be able to pay his wages. His price tag is more than 20 Million Euro, and Man city won’t accept offers less than they paid last year for his signature. And I’m sure Ramirez won’t join with us, his price tag will raise after the olympic game. Bologna have asked for 15 – 20 Million Euro for teams who chasing for his signature this year. And that’s a gambling for Inter, Ramirez has a good talents but still unproven and lacks of big games experiences. If you buy these two players, they will cost us almost 40 Million Euro and that’s not a good sign for our financial. But I totally agreed that we really need to bring a solid defender, a creative winger and a proven striker in case Pazzini is leaving.

        that’s right, i didnt think about wages. but im sure Ramirez/Fernando wouldnt make too much, hopefully Kolarov willing to drop his salary aswell, then only Dzeko would make huge money – altho, he’d worth it. but i think Ramirez is not unproven, he is pretty good in serie a level, which matters for us…

    #1, we need to sell Cesar, Pazzini and Maicon. They’re wages are killing us right now and I truly believe that we could be a good team without them.
    I think we need to target another defender just as internesia was saying. I’d love for us to target Ogbonna from Torino. He’s a promising young Italian CB who made the Italian Euro roster. I’d love to see Ogbonna and Ranocchia emerge as our future CB tandem by the end of the year.
    As for Lucas, Ramirez, Fernando and others, I think we just need to see it all play out. We still have some talented young players who can play those positions who are just hurt currently (Alvarez, Obi, Longo, etc.). I’m not so desperate to go out and spend millions right now. If we get somebody, I’ll support them, but I’m not so sure we have to have another attacking option.

    with 30-35 we can get ramirez or james rodriguez and Matias Suarez who is very underrated simply due to the fact that he played in belgium yet he won the golden boot there. with JC-Pazzo-Maicon-castaignos-Deki transfers, we can buy sahin along with kolarov or cissokho. All Moratti needs to do is convince these young men that this is a rejuvination project and they may need to take a small cut in wages. this is our future with this we can return to championship form.

    If he comes he comes!I don’t realy care if he comes or not but if he comes i’ll be happy if he don’t i wont be sad neither happy.But i belive that we should spend our money on buying a winger cause at the moment if you haven’t noticed are 2 wingers are our 2 fullbacks(NAGATOMO,ZANNETI NAD JONATHAN),We need 2 wingers 1 is affelay and the other 1 who would be nice to see is Papu.Those 2 together will cost 12-15million and we can also buy sahin or fernando[I prefer sahin cause 1st)He is cheaper 2nd)lower wage 3rd)We can give Madrid maicon for him]But we surely need 2 wingers cause stramaccioni wants to play 4-3-3 and because we don’t have winger he plays 4-2-3-1 If you have noticed and know!Please write your comments below about my idea!And if you have any questions about what i wrote tell me to explain you.

      I agree about Affelay and Sahin.. they’ll bring massive impact for Inter… but they’re injury prone.. this season we have a hard season, Uefa league give Inter less time to rest… i don’t know if they tough enough to play for Inter this season…

      Actually in Primavera, Stramaccioni use either 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1… so the 2 of 3 (4231) and 2 (4321) behind Striker would have Trequartista role, so i think it’s better if we buy a SS or AM that able to play as a winger or a winger that sometime can cut inside to the box… We need a player that have a good crossing and good run to the box… That’s why they’re chasing Lucas and Lavezzi.. but Lavezzi already unavailable… Palacio is great, but we need one more player, while Alvarez still injured.. I don’t know many players that great on that’s position and suit for inter, maybe you know… Blaszczykowski is good, but again he’s already unavailable.. I think Affelay or Alejandro Gomez will be best option… Coutinho is good as SS, but I dont know if he can play as winger as well… Same as Schurrle… Bessa and Longo can cover the first team…
      For the middle I still hope we can bring back Poli… or bring Capoue… and if it’s still possible, Paulinho is great too, cause he can play as Midfielder and Full back…
      And yeah, if we cant bring any winger.. i hope Inter buy a Full back that good on attack and defense… Debuchy, Vargas or (Gonzalo) Castro at least… So the 2 in the middle can play as DM, to prevent the counter attack and cover the CB (If the CB go forward)…
      Still, i hope inter would add one more defense.. either Astori or (Serdar) Tasci…
