Alejandro Gomez wants to leave Catania because il Papu wants to take the next leap in his career. In an interview with Tutto Mercato Web, he has confessed the desire to move on.
Gomez, is this the right moment to leave Catania?
“Yes. I want to grow and improve. Now is my moment, now is the time of moving on to a big team. At Catania, I did well and now I deserve a big and want the best solution for me and for my family. I am ready to make the big jump.”
Inter and Fiorentina are in your future?
“Being approached by Inter is a great pride. It is one of the best teams in the world. I like it very much but Fiorentina are also a great team. Montella and I have done some important things and it would be a nice opportunity.”
Do you have a team of your dreams?
“As a child, I liked Spanish football but I still want to play in Italy where I am very well. My wife is pregnant and my son will be born in October.”
Will he be born in Florence or Milan?
“Both cases would be great. In Florence there is Montella, a coach I am very attached to. Inter for a great club.”
At Inter, you would see your former teammate again in Silvestre. Wouldn’t it be nice?
“Matias is an experienced player and will do well at Inter. He is Argentinian just like me and so we always hear from each other. Playing together would be nice but I still know nothing. Much will depend on Catania. I hope to leave: to Fiorentina or Inter would be very nice.”
