I thought our first team players did very well in the first half.  Had it not been for Micai, Como keeper, we would have scored at least 2-3 more goals.  Anyway, I want to talk about how impressive Gaby Mundingayi was.  Yes, I know this is one game and the competition is not exctly world beaters but still, this is his first chance to impress and he did.  Gaby time and time again won back the ball for us.  Not only that, he makes simple and successful passes.  Definitely not a Muntari 2.0 like many people suggested.  Gaby can certainly be a regular contributor for us throughout this upcoming season.

    We won 3-2…the goals we gave away were very very soft. Need to improve concentration a lott.

      The first one came from a weird deflection while the second was because of a serious mistake from a player that will not make our first team anytime soon in Bianchetti. But yes the whole team needs to improve a lot.

        I agree bout the second goal..a very unfortunate individual mistake -i hope it does not affect the young player’s confidence too much.

        I couldn’t tell clearly with the first goal – I thought it came off an Inter player trying to make a clearance or something. Guess I did not catch it clearly.

    wow 2 goals conceded against Como?! Jeezz… i remembered internesia talked about our defense problem few days ago in this blog, i thought he was crazy since we got Silvestre. But now I realized what the real problem is on our backline. We won’t survive with this defense for sure

        dude even though it was a bounce but hey man it’s Como, it would have been a disaster if our defense played like this against stronger team with better offensive. our defense are very slow especially Ranocchia. It’s just like a time bomb ready to explode with Chivu and Ranocchia on the pitch.

      i don’t want to imagine this defense against stronger opponents with lightning fast strikers who work side to side, and BAM! we’re doomed at the right spots

    That’s a little harsh on Inter defenders if you just call them lame for the two goals conceded. the two goal conceded were pure lucky goals and had nothing to do with good or bad defending..

    but coming to some real defending errors yes we can highlight them and they are pretty much there for example in open play one could easily there was LESS coordination between the defenders while trying to stay organized to play OFFSIDE trap.

    Secondly the defenders were NOT on same wavelenght during open play. you could see there was NO understanding between the defenders as to who should go after the player and stop and who should cover his back. at times it was evident that Rano and Silvestere both went after the player leaving behind HUGE hole…

    These are the issues which i think should be addressed but then again let’s NOT forget that it’s a pre-season and that’s what pre-seasons are held for and that we have a brand new defender ( CB ) and some Primavera kids playing. Come real games we will be better with the same defensive line.

    But having said so, i always maintained that we need two defenders ( quality ) and we do not need mid fielders or attackers.

    P.S: Sneijder and Cou were linking up quite brilliantly and i ‘m pretty sure that with some games between the two together we are on for some real threat because Palacio is a kind of animal you will find everywhere on the pitch running which makes it much more easier for the Attacking midfielders to link up the play.

      totally agreed with you. We need good reinforcements for our defense. but somehow, our management is only thinking about Lucas, Lucas and Lucas for weeks. With that huge money, we could bring more qualities players that we really need, There are Kolarov, Musacchio, Andreolli, Astori and Criscito that we can try to lure one of them in order to create a balanced defense. For attack, i can see we need a right winger who can link with Palacio (maybe Krasic or Afellay?) and also an attacker who can links with Milito (Gilardino, Salomon Rondon, or Quagliarella?). Unfortunately we missed Destro, and Pazzini has lost his relationship with Strama. Longo is good but he is still unproven for big matches. Inter still needs three more players to complete this new inter, one defender, one winger and one attacker. And Inter should be better to hurry, the calciomarceto has come to its deadline.

        Why does everyone mention Afellay? Scr*w him he is dutch and dutch players are like crackers, they brake easily. He woulden’t last a month in Serie A before getting injured for six months. Just look whaw happend at Barca, out for half the season. We have enuogh fitness problems with Sneijder.

          it’s all about money dude, he is the only good skillful player and a natural right winger that we can afford today. Barca has offered Afellay to Inter for only 5 – 6 Millions Euro, but yeaaahh inter screw the offer because He is not an argentinian lol

            I would much rather pay 12 mill for a player who is going to stay fit most of the season, then 5-6 for a dude with fitness problems. But that’s my opinion…

    I only watched the first half of the game, and if that was the better half, I am scared for us. Como is a team we should destroy no matter who playes. They better improve!!
