TIM Trophy: Inter 1-0 Juve, Inter 2-1 Milan

Good for Fredy Guarin and Rodrigo Palacio with their first goal for Inter.  There were bright spots for sure (Guarin, Coutinho, Mbaye…) but this is still a work in progress.

Prediction: Inter 1-1 Milan

Not a perfect game by any means especially in the defense but that’s OK given the new players that we have.  It needs to be worked out, the whole team needs to be worked on.  We’re still in July.

Great finish by Coutinho, he did it with conviction, no shyness, but Lucio, yes him, provided an even better assist.

I’m also impressed with Guarin.  Always fighting for the ball and won a few of them, also did have a couple of important stops.

    Coutinho is really developing. It makes me happy and I hope he gets alot of playing time this year. Just look how he managed to predict the movement of the ball and what Lucio was going to do. Brilliant!

LUCIO has done it again…. and this time around against INTERNAZIONALE MILAN… to me… i think Coutinho is the HERO in the new INTER SQUARED… I wish him and the whole Inter team a good upcoming season… cant wait to see them whooping every teams a**.. including teams participating in the Europa League…

    Great start..superb coutinho, guarin and palacio..yuto have to improve a lot, silvestre unconvincing which make chivu looks good..well done strama..

    inter were great but the defense isnt the best well i think because the team isnt complete still needs 2 fullbacks and ranocchia was surprisingly the better performer then silvestre, i hope we get another recruit for that department, the attack however looks slick with coutinho and palacio’s pace is handy especially when counter, we need a director i believe either m’vila or nuri sahin will come and doubt they will be the big name signing considering lucas could be on the horizon a new dawn at inter, we have coutinho, longo, cresitig and duncan, milan have el sharraway and mercel jube have no one merda

      Crisetig was loaned out to Spezia this year, and you forgot we still have Mbaye, Bessa, livaja. I saw Milan also have great talents like Carmona, Ganz (the son of former inter and Milan’s striker Maurizio Ganz) and of course Shaarawy.

    I can´t understand how Chivu still is an Inter player, he is usless…. Coutinho,Guarin and Palacio where all very good i also liked Ranocchia and Silvestre. M’Baye was god too. Cambiasso need to run he looked fat and just not fit for a season of fotball.
    I hope we sign Sahin, Cisokho and a vice Milito. If we get 3 new good players we can chalenge for the Scudetto even if Juve are favorites.

    we will definatly get 1 of fernando(porto) or sahin as for lucas he will come if sneijder goes so its a win win situation becuz both are quality. silvestre is very good dont forget it was his first proper game and ranocchia and mbaye was brilliant which is surprising 4 ranocchia becuz we all know his potential hopefully under strama he can furfil it.
    This is a realistic team next season.

    Cou was brilliant indeed but i hate that one thing about him and that is he gets lost during games if he’s NOT involved and u can easily notice this patch during normal games and now even friendlies. this is what i noticed even during his loan spell with Espanyol.

    I hope Strama addresses this one with care. Cou is a brilliant player and he must understand that he can’t be involved in every single play but he MUST still make himself available for passes .. you can see when he’s not involved he does not go to the spaces to make himself available. anyhow it’s just July.

    I’m most impressed with M’bye. the kid was superb and the best thing about him was he never looked shy and he never looked retreating when going for a ball .. this is how a young player should be. Guarin is doing great and Palacio was good because he proves to be sort of player we never had for a long time who can keep running in the attacking third like ETO ..

    things are shaping up nicely and i hope we get better with time. Let sneijder join in to see where we are as a team as we still are missing Alvarez and Sneider. i think we must also give proper playing time to Alvarez who i believe will do great this season along with Cou and Snejijder

    I watched both games and to be honest i saw nothing special about our Inter’s performance, simply because of an amazingly worst condition at the stadium’s field. At the first time I thought the game was held at developing country’s stadium because the field was really that sucks and it was really hard to dribble and pass with that wet and slippery field that also could cause serious injury to players but holy crap it was at held at Bari, an Italy home stadium. This is a really serious problem to FIGC, Italy should start rebuilding their stadium like Germany, England, and Spain if they want to raise their competition level. Serie-A was the best league for years, but now it has been decreasing a lot in terms of football infrastructure and facilities.

    However, I’m quite happy with Inter’s performance especially for Guarin, Coutinho and Palacio combo. They have become a solid core team for the new Inter. With Sneijder, they could challenge any team today. Unfortunately, Sneijder was absent tonight, so I can’t see the real improvements in our midfileder. However the problem still happened on the back line. I’m not satisfied with Silvestre and Ranocchia, they are so fucking slow! Shaarawy’s goal was simply because Silvestre was outpaced by Shaarawy and Chivu was so late to cover the area. Silvestre is good at marking big and strong strikers, but he would be suffering to duel with lightning fast strikers like Shaarawy or Di Natale. This would be a deadly combination with Ranocchia since both of them are really slow. We got Juan but we loan him to Bologna as an agreement with Mudingayi’s transfer. We really need a good defender that could cover this weakness. Musacchio or Andreolli might be a good candidates and they won’t burn our budget.

    The next problem is at our wing, we only have Coutinho at the left side. We really need a good backup for him and also someone who can fill the right side winger position. I saw Jonathan, he is good as technically but he looks so ‘fat’ as a fast player lol We really need someone to fill that position. Lucas will be a great booster but his hefty price tag scare Inter. Kolarov would be nice reinforcement to the left flank position so Coutinho can be moved to the right side. And I really want to see Nuri Sahin with Inter jersey. He could improve the creativity and help Sneijder. If we can’t reach him, we still have Bessa. I hope Strama will use him as Sneijder’s backup. And there is also a talk that Gilardino will come to Inter. He is such a wasted talent, and we don’t need him. We should stick with Longo and Livaja.

      i also think ricky alvarez will shine this season! he have a lot of talent! but he struggled with injuries last season! lets hope this season he and sneijder doesn’t get injured

    Ricky will be a great reinforcement to help Coutinho since Ricky is a natural left footed talent. If Ricky and Coutinho can hit the top form at the same time, Inter will have a great combo attack from the left flank. I guess Strama will try to use Ricky as a winger to attack from the left winger in case Coutinho could not break the deadlock and then Coutinho could be moved to the right wing like he did at Vasco. I also prefer Ricky as a left winger to center midfielder like last season, since we already have Guarin, Cambiasso, Sneijder and soon Sahin (hopefully). I hope injuries will stay away from Ricky since we need him to cover the left flank in case we fail to bring Kolarov and Yuto fail to replicate his best form. I also hope Bessa will recover as soon as possible, I really want to see Bessa learn from Sneijder so he can raise his qualities and form to meet his amazing potential. Mark my word, in the next years Bessa could be the next great Italy No 10 if he could keep consistency and his level of fitness in the top flight competitions. Imagine, Ricky, Coutinho, Bessa and Longo for the next years. Simply awesome…

    Now the problem is at the right side, we have Maicon, Zanetti, Nagatomo, Mbaye, Jonathan as natural position for the right fullback and winger. No question about il Capitano Zanetti he will stay as beast for at least next 2-3 years. Strama can revert back Zanetti to his natural position as right full back. I considered Mbaye will have a great future for the next years, he has been showing his natural talents, bravery, composure to play as hard rock at inter’s right side. Now Inter still need someone to fill the right side as a real winger who got flairs and alien dribbling skill like Coutinho did at the left flank. Which one do you like better, Jonathan or Maicon? If Maicon stays I want Strama order him to work on his lazy arses so he can hit top form once again like Mourinho did with him at 2010. Maicon still hold qualities as the best right fullback winger, do not compare him with the dani alves, Maicon is much better than him if he is able to find his determination once again. If you forgot about who is Maicon at 2010, search youtube for his amazing run at the right side. I hope he can regain his top form once again.

    However if he fails to replicate his top form and lost determination, He should be used as a bargain for Sahin’s transfer plan. We also have Jonathan, almost Maicon’s replica but a more balanced player in terms of attacking and defending qualities. But he is not a natural gifted winger and better used as full back, so we need to bring right winger. Afellay could a great solution without breaking our bank. Lucas will always a great reinforcement as a natural right winger but his hefty price tag scared us. If we can’t get him, use Coutinho at the right flank since he is a natural right footed player. He will slot in better as a right winger than at the left flank if Ricky hit the top form and if Kolarov join with us. And that’s all we need and we’re ready to terror Milan and Juve’s arses again.
