TIM Trophy: 22-Player List Announced

Andrea Stramaccioni has invited 22 players for the TIM Trophy, a mini tournament also involves Milan and Jventus, scheduled tomorrow (Saturday) at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari (20:45 CET).

Goalkeepers: Vid Belec, Luca Castellazzi, Sami Handanovic.

Defenders: Matteo Bianchetti, Cristian Chivu, Jonathan, Ibrahima Mbaye, Yuto Nagatomo, Andrea Ranocchia, Walter Samuel, Matias Silvestre.

Midfielders: Javier Zanetti, Marco Benassi, Esteban Cambiasso, Fredy Guarin, Yago Del Piero, Simone Pasa.

Forwards: Philippe Coutinho, Samuele Longo, Diego Milito, Rodrigo Palacio, Francesco Forte.

Here are the players that won’t be available for tomorrow:

Julio Cesar, Dejan Stankovic, Maicon, Joel Obi, Ricky Alvarez, Wesley Sneijder, Gaby Mudingayi, Luc Castaignos and Giampaolo Pazzini.

      Stramaccioni used to be a defender back in the days, but I asume it’s Ranocchia and not Strama.

      friendly. strama said he will be fit for the europa league play-off

    I knew our defense was not the best but the coach must truly have very little confidence to be penning himself in for the defense! :P

    can ANYONE tell me why isn’t Marko Livaja picked for the friendlies… he was awesome in the games i’ve seen him play.. he should be given a chance to shine..

      I just read an interview with him talking about his Youth club Hajduk Split that Inter might face in EL. He said he is not in Bari because he has a small injury, nothing serious and they didn’t want to risk anything. Plus he said that Inter rejected an loan offer from Samp for him because Strama realy likes him so don’t be surprised if he gets some playing time next season.

        i was really worried that they were going to throw away such a good player..
        have you seen him play? he plays like a 22 year old.. i mean his play looks as strong as a 22 year old’s play.. :D

          I have seen him in Primavera but not in the first team. I wasn’t able to watch the friendlies with Trentino and Koper so i’m not able to judge. But i know he sacrifices for the team a lot and runs and helps the midfield a lot in non possesion. Hope he plays in the next two friendlies against Como and Celtic.
