INTER, BLESSED YOUTH

From Europe to Italy, these babies have won all.  After the victory in NextGen Series, here is the Scudettino.

Beat Lazio 3-2 with goals from Livaja, Garritano and Longo

Perugia – Everything can be forgiven on the field.  He responded with a goal after a naughty play (a naive red card) against Palermo.  Marko Livaja, the Croatian arrived at Appiano Gentile in January after playing a reserve role in Cesena, scored the opening goal and then hit the crossbar which was the assist for the second goal for the boys of Bernazzani.  So the Primavera Scudetto now belongs to Inter: the last time they won it was  back in 2007 by beating Sampdoria coached by Bollini with the goal of Mario Balotelli.  This title comes after just a few months after the triumph in Europe, in NextGen Series.  The Inter boys has won everywhere.

The key The opening goal of Inter came thanks to a flash by the Croatian but also from a huge mistake from the Lazio defense.  Livaja was on the end of a cross but Zampa was hoping to ease the pressure by calling Berardi, goalkeeper, to get the ball.  The striker was just quick enough to dribble pass the goalkeeper before putting the ball in the open net.  A few minutes later Bessa suffered an injury: bruised right knee and the game for the Italian/Brazilian game director ended there.  Garritano then was placed in Bessa’s position, behind Longo.  A physiological change but ball possession for Inter started to drop while Lazio began pushing with more movements.  But Inter always thought about Mbaye which swept the entire penalty box: he covered for himself as well as others.  A monster.  Bernazzani shifted Romano to make it a 4-3-3: an elastic trident with wingers.  A blow came just before half time when Lazio equalized with the goal of Barreto.  But Inter did not give up and once again, they took the lead.  Livaja’s shot hit the intersection of the posts and it was rebounded by Garritano who scored with a header, the goal saw a lot of protest from Lazio because they complained that there was a foul on Sbraga.  Inter were able to open the gap more with the goal of Samuele Longo.  Onazi’s goal at the end was a bit little too late.  Samuele Longo won the Morosini award as the best player of the tournament.  But there were other bright spots such as Duncan who was brilliant in the midfield and also Sala, who had two good saves on Rozzi and Barreto.
