It has been a busy morning for Inter. In a meeting between Marco Branca, Piero Ausilio and Andrea Stramaccioni many things have been accomplished from organizing transfer market strategies to confirming Andrea Stramaccioni as coach. Here is Massimo Moratti upon leaving his offices to the journalist:
There was talk of a phone call between you and Aurelio De Laurentiis for Lavezzi. Have you heard from him?
“No I have not spoken to him, not today.”
Andrea Stramaccioni was also in Inter headquarters this afternoon. Any news?
“I was not there so…”
But is it official that the contract has been renewed?
“Yes his contract has been renewed for three more seasons.”
What can you say about Lucas? We saw his agents today and the fans are dreaming about it.
“It is clear that there are things that other people are talking about but this year we must be careful in all points of view.”
Daniele De Rossi said yesterday that this betting scandal is even worse than the Calciopoli in 2006.
“Depends on how one sees things but they’re both bad. That one came from directors, in my onion, was worse.”
Heard you heard of Mario Monti’s idea of stopping football for two or three years?
So how are things remaining between you and De Laurentiis? Will you go ahead with Lavezzi negotiations?
“We said that we would hear from each other but neither of us has been able to. We’ve been very busy.”
